We stayed here for a night, and we loved the dinner and service, which were both excellent in the dining area and the front desk. While this location wasnt it, it was a wonderful alternative and possibly even better! You must ring a bell at the entrance gate to enter, and then have your key for entering and leaving because the castle is completely enclosed. The moenchsberg walks are unrivaled because the structure has a history! From here, we even walked to the fortress, avoiding having to go down into the city. The modern art museum was the closest eatery where there is the elevator that goes down into the city. When you eat there, they will provide you with your receipt a free ticket back into the city if you eat there. The current cafe served food at this museum, but they still have a beautiful view from the cafe that was once the bell sounds of music. Returning to the schloessl. Of course, expect not to experience all the modern amenities like a to or a speedy wifi, but that typically, this location is suitable for church events and we were grateful to have allowed four people to remain while they were not affiliated with the church or a retreat. It was an excellent spot to return to after a day in the city. I should note that taxi drivers rarely relish the idea of driving up here, but

I will stay here again. I had a great time here! Although the city is only a 15-minute walk or elevator ride away, you remain in a quiet, peaceful setting. The rooms are basic and simple, but very clean. Other people have mentioned problems with the wifi, but we had no issues with the wifi during our 2-night visit. Breakfast was tasty and with plenty of options. The staff was nice.

Our large group has stayed here twice now. It's ideal because it is private, remote, and peaceful, yet the city is only a 15-minute walk away. The castle's grounds are gorgeous and serene, and there is a fantastic area on the roof from which to climb up and view the mountains and city. There are huge meeting rooms and a sizable dining area that may be used by groups. Sadly, there is no air conditioning, and wifi only functions in the lobby and becomes slow when a lot of people use it. The main building's rooms are modest and dorm-like accommodations. The room options vary widely, but the ones in the center are spacious and spotless. There is a good selection of breakfast options. There is a big meeting area and a sizable dining area.

This place was the biggest surprise, I was born in Salzburg 22 years ago and never visited before. I went back with family to visit a town I used to live in. Everything was provided. The environment was easy to walk or take a taxi from the museum. Breakfast was also good. I'm sure we'll return to Johannes Schlossl. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, perfect location.

The price was worth it for the location and not far from all the noise, with a friendly staff. Especially if you wanted to explore the area of Salerno and stay at this hotel, the vibes were so quiet and natural.
