This was one of the top three places I have stayed around the world. I rarely return back to the same place, but I will most definitely be back here. Such a wonderful place to enjoy nature and unwind. Close to many points of interest for tours. Excellent restaurants and amenities. The hot springs were amazing. Many thanks to the amazing staff for making us feel special. This was a wonderful experience!

I highly recommend at least a two day stay at this resort if you are headed from San Jose to Fortuna. It was lush jungle, felt luxurious, breakfast was great and the hot spring pools relaxing. We only stayed one night unfortunately so we didn’t do any of the offered activities. But we felt highly taken care of and special. The staff addressed us by our names which gave it such a personal touch. We saw some wild life on our own. A couple sloths and motmots and a few other really pretty birds. My favorite part was lounging in the hammock on our front porch. We stayed in the standard room. It was in a row of about 10-20 other little cabins but it was very private! The beds were firm but high quality and comfy. Nice coffee and drinking water available in the lobby. We had dinner at the restaurant because it’s a bit of a drive to find food in town. It was good but about $100 usd for the two of us. I’d definitely come back and stay longer.

This lodge is absolutely stunning! It’s the perfect place to see tons of animals, eat amazing food, and really feel like you are deep in the rainforest. They organized our tours—even have some right on the property—which made the whole trip so seamless and effortless. Plus, relaxing in the hot springs after a busy day of adventures was just the best. We will be returning !

Truly a rainforest hotel. Loved the staff and excellent customer service. From the front desk to all the rest of the people. Our stay at Chachagua Rainforest Hotel was absolutely unforgettable. The property is stunning — surrounded by lush rainforest, peaceful sounds of nature, and breathtaking beauty everywhere you look. Lots of things to do. Amazing pools. But what truly made the experience special was the incredible staff. Every single person was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Be advised that the road to this amazing property is full of twists and turns which doesn't help anyone who is prone to motion sickness. Dramamine is a must! We arrived late at the property which there was a guard that pointed us to the way of the desk agent, who greeted us and helped us take our luggage to our suite. The room was cold, clean and had treats for us upon arrival as it was my birthday. Delicious chocolate ganache brownies! Dual shower heads with plenty of space to spare, bath robes, a private dining area, Jacuzzi tub and outside lounge area and well maintained to enjoy the sounds of the rainforest. The staff was very pleasant and gave us recommendations on what to on our next part of our journey which we are glad we followed through in Uvita with the Mangrove tour. Thank you Brian! The pools were clean and they have many different pools with different temps to soothe whatever sore muscles that you might have from your adventures. Breakfast was to die for, freshly played local fruits to start and a diverse menu, which we wanted to try more but the helping were so plentiful we couldn't finish it most of the time. Be sure to endulge in the little extra pastries at breakfast, you won't regret it! Room service was top notch as well. Although we were sad to go, we would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing stay, anyone who loves to enjoy the outdoors and natural sounds of the Rainforest will be sure to enjoy!

This was the most amazing stay!! The private bungalows were awesome, and the hot springs were wonderful. We loved being immersed in the jungle. the hammock on the deck of the bungalow was nice to be in and listen to all the sounds!! Deffinatly comming back!

Lovely, comfortable resort in a wonderful rainforest location! Fortuna is very touristy and this hotel is in a great location that's off the beaten path. Great amenities including free breakfast and yoga, hot springs, pool, creek with slides, etc. We had a wonderful time!

We loved staying at Chachagua and would highly recommend it to anyone considering. The property is sprawling, with so much available onsite to enjoy. We took advantage of the coffee and chocolate tour, the cooking class, and the night tour on property. All were excellent. Additionally, Chachagua’s location is perfect for seeing Costa Rican wildlife. In less than 48 hours, we saw nearly everything we had only hoped we would see. The staff are friendly, the onsite guides are amazingly knowledgeable, and the quality of the hot springs are really nice. We also booked tours through the hotel that were in La Fortuna, ~30 minute drive. Those were also well coordinated and well communicated. We can’t say enough good things about our stay!

Super nice property. Love the hot spring. Go there every day. The compensatory tour is super nice too and learned a lot about the rain forest and the little town. Would recommend it.
