I am so thrilled we booked two days here. I was not certain about it but it is such a beautiful location. The “newish” owners are so kind and welcoming. Armando, the everything guy, was our favorite CR person! He was so kind and helped with my rudimentary Spanish. My kids loved it here as well. It is not luxury, so if that is what you are looking for, this is not your place. If a great value and beautiful location and good food is what you are looking for, I highly recommend. Cabin was clean and the fan kept it cool enough. Food was delicious. Pool is small but kids jumped in to cool off after a day of rafting on the Pacuare River. Exploring the massive property was a fun way to explore CR. We even saw a beautiful rainbow over the valley. Road to get there is a lot bumpy, curvy and hilly but worth the drive. I would not hesitate to stay here again! We loved our time here.

The property is tranquil, and the views are remarkable! The staff was great and Armanda who works in Dining was amazing! You get a nice bang for your buck. I will definitely come back.

Antonio, Marjorie, and Armand are all so gracious and kind; it's a joy to experience such warm hospitality in absolutely breathtaking surroundings! Truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed . . . like a picture book

Amazing views, grounds were beautiful and staff was absolutely amazing. Food was good and beers were cold. Only downfall no ac and cabins run down a little and the pool is not there anymore. But still well with the visit.

Most charming lodge I’ve ever been at. A perfect stop to make between the Pacific coast and the Carribean one, or between San Jose and Limon/Puerto Viejo. The view is out of this world beautiful, the location is completely off-the-grid, the team is just wonderful, the breakfast is so so good, and fresh. The chicken empanadas is the best one I ever had. The garden has so many types of flowers/trees, etc. Our dog got to run freely and enjoy the beautiful grounds. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The only thing I am not satisfied with, is that we only stayed for a short stay! We will want to come back to enjoy the grounds a little bit more because this place is truly heavenly and we fell in love with it. ( the cabins are very very cute and cozy)

Very cool place with good food and the staff was awesome. Location is pretty remote but worth the view. Would recommend only using vehicles with decent clearance. We had a Nissan rogue and that did the trick.

We stayed in the cabin with the outdoor jacuzzi. This was amazing during an evening rainstorm as the sun set. The owner has done such an amazing job caring for the property and making it a pleasant place to stay. The road up to the property is not for the faint of heart and is quite bumpy, however I assure you well worth the drive. The views are spectacular, the service is fantastic and the food is great! The only negative is the mattress we slept on was so uncomfortable. It felt worse than a pull out sofa sleeper from the 80s. The next morning we realized the mattress was flipped over to the side with the bottom facing up… this was a no flip mattress and yet we were sleeping on the springs? The pillow top side was face down. So strange! The showers were delightfully hot. Even though the bed sucked we would definitely recommend this place!

The view from the hotel is wonderful, and a flower garden with plenty of butterflies and insects. The road on the way to the hotel is a bit challenging
