The building is a stone building, covered with tile, restored from an old farm house, which stands next to the riverside of Estorãos in a lush valley between the mountains and the Arga Antelas, an area rich in vestiges of the past . It is surrounded by an enclosure and a well-kept garden, where a glass porch with wicker armchairs, offers endless opportunities for rest, under the protection of a beautiful stone carvings. More sheltered, is a small patio, also with a tiny porch, which enters directly into the kitchen.
The main entrance opens into a spacious lounge with a corner chaired by the fireplace and the kitchen is situated at the foot of the room and has an area for the breakfast.

The house was an old hunting place, now restored, surrounded by 184 hectares of Mediterranean forest and aromatic plants.
It is possible to visit the plantation of aromatic plants of lavender, rosemary, geranium and our distillery where we produce essential oils 100 % natural from organic agriculture.

Benefiting from a magnificent location, Pedralva village was a pile of ruins, and it was shaped to fulfill a dream… that of António Ferreira, that has rewritten the village history, rebuilding it with courage and determination.
Aldeia de Pedralva is an intense “passion” Project shared among friends and relatives that live “in loco”. It took them two years to rebuild the village, keeping the original design as much as possible, and a new Aldeia was born, being typically Portuguese, and at the same time an active, sustainable, loving, trendy, and mystic village.

The house is a lovely recuperation of a small rural house. This charming place is located in the centre of the Corte Gafo de Cima village, in the Alentejo region, distance 7 miles from the historical town of Mértola and is situated within the Natural Park of Guadiana Valley. The owner of this rural house, a environmental Engineer, was very careful to maintained the genuinely and the traditional style of the building, preserving the architecture and using the most traditional restoration techniques. Indoor, is well-coming and very colourfully, the decoration combining the traditional and modern. All the rooms are painted in different warm colours: Yellow, Salmon, Blue and Green, Purple and Red ... as used in Alentejo region.
