We could not have been happier with our stay here. We can say that Pension Wonder is a great place to stay in the center of podebrady. Everyone we meet working there is very kind and carry us. We have a good time and will come back sometime.

I have now stayed here several times and it's always a welcome stay. The staff is typically non-English speaking so you may need to use a translating software. They can use google translate but the owner does speak English who isn't normally on site. If you reserve the apartment it's a home away from home with everything you need, lots of space, and a nice roof terrace. Conveniently located within walking distance of all amenities. clean and homey.

Podebrady isn't your well-known, busy spa town like Karlovy Variet or Marienbad, but it's a fantastic spot to relax and see how the czech spend the weekend. If you go, you can't stay in a better location than the Pension Wunder. It's a small family-run pension on a plain backstreet. The building has been completely rebuilt and modernized. Some features, like ceiling beams, have been preserved and reused in the new structure. The interior courtyard is a lovely little courtyard full of flowers. Our accommodation was excellent. Exposed rustic beams, tile floors, attractive rustic wardrobe and chest, modern flyscreen to, a table and a small sofa, and a contemporary bathroom. Breakfast was ample. The staff is excellent and goes above and beyond to be friendly and kind. Klara speaks excellent English and is available to check us in and provide any tourist information we needed. The other visitors included strollers, rollerblades, and bike rides, all of which appeared to be staying for the spa treatments we didn't take. The location of the wonder was ideal for our interests. There are strollers, rollerblades, and bicyclists on the weekend we were there. It can be a little unsettling because czech cyclists don't give warning when they pass. But the walks

I had a great experience overall, nothing negative to say. Although they might offer scrambled eggs for breakfast, the wifi might be quicker and it would be nicer to offer it. There were yummy cereals, juice, salami, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, jam, and some sweets for breakfast. The room is large and well-equipped. There is a hairdryer that they sometimes don't have when you require it the most. The tiny kitchen is inside a beautiful closet with a sink, microwave, water boiler, and splayed knives, forks, spoons, etc. The bed was quite firm at first glance, but I eventually slept well for months. I probably need to change my mattress at home. Additionally, the rooms are wheelchair-accessible, and they have a pool that I saw and a sauna that I read about but didn't see. The hostess is really nice and kind, but I kind of got the impression the kindness wasn't real. I believe she was extremely kind and helpful at every interaction. Parking is on a busy street next to the entrance, and there is a little larger parking area 20 meters from the side entrance.
