After reading all the negative evaluations I've read, I was a little hesitant about my stay here. I shouldn't be. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly and led to my room, which was a simple, cozy space. The location was spotless and spotless. I didn't choose the meals because of the bad reviews, but after reading what other people had eaten, I believed the local cuisine was great value. If I went back, I would order the meals. The stove in the room was fired in the evening, which made it cozy and pleasant. It stayed warm throughout the night. There were numerous blankets in case it wasn't warm enough. However, because the wood used is extremely fast-burning, the fire was nearly out in about 15 minutes. Remember, this is a remote location without all the amenities of living in a large first world city, and we appreciate having a warm, cozy room when we sleep outdoors.

You are not limited to this one because there are other similar places nearby with the same location and price. The lake is only a brief 57-minute stroll from the location, which is close to the entry desk. The lake shore trail was closed as of the hour I came, however, when I was there. The room is small and full of beds, but that's true of everywhere in Ecuador because everyone likes to pack their rooms to the brim with beds. It's unfortunate that I was lucky enough to have hot water for around a minute before it turned into freezing. I had to wait another 10 minutes for more hot water. Keep that in mind. Loud French, like typical neighbors in a wooden house, does not really bring comfort. Otherwise, if you can snag a room for less than $20, it's a decent room at a very low cost. There are other locations in this area that are similar to this one.

This hotel is great for a holiday stay. The room here was very cold it was actually a Quilato. The room's water in the shower is also cold, but the staff is friendly and does their best to ensure our comfort. They also make the fire in our room several times and bring us a large bucket of hot water to drink from. They even complied with my vegan diet. Definitely a place to stay when going hiking.

We spent one night here as a couple in September 2021 after climbing Quilotoa Lake. Although the owner and staff members don't speak English, and we only spoke very limited, poor Spanish, they showed us great hospitality, and were pleasant and accommodating. The run was one of the more affordable ones in the area in terms of cost. We paid about $30 usd for a room with a double bed and a bathroom. As a Canadian, I have to say that at night it becomes very cold. The owner and staff came and helped start an old fireplace in the room when we needed it. There was, based on my estimate, at least 45 pillows and comforters on the bed as a means to keep warm. Unfortunately, the shower was chilly. The hot water only worked for about a minute or two before it became cold again. I was a little disappointed by this because I had been looking forward to a hot shower at the end of our hike. Dinner and breakfast are included in the price. The meals were good and it was your typical ecuadorian meal meat, rice, salad for dinner eggs, bread, fresh fruit, fruit juice, and coffee for breakfast. However, the portions were quite small. In all sections of the lodge, the wifi is fast and reliable. All in all, Run

This place is very recommended. After hiking the Quilotoa loop, the Run was the perfect place to rest for the night. Every room has a warm fireplace and has a great communal area to eat, drink tea, coffee, read, write, etc. The bed is comfortable and, even if they didn't have hot showers, they heated our water in a basin, which was very nice.
