The room condition is very uncomfortable but the bathroom is small. The front of the hotel facing all the main bars in the area so very noisy until 4 am. Only stayed for breakfast which is very good with a selection of continental breakfast and english breakfast.

This place is very recommended! A great stay with friends in a hotel with a seamless check in and good customer service. Price is very reasonable and hotel is in the middle of nightlife and restaurants but not too noisy. The room is clean and a good size.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Köln. stayed in the hotel for new year, had to extend my stay for a few days thank you to the hotel for looking after us. The hotel is in a nice location, the Irish bar the james next door and plenty of places to eat around the hotel. The cathedral is about 15 minutes walk away and the main shopping area is around the same. I had a great few miles from my room and could open the window completely. The bathroom was a bit small and the hot and cold taps were outside the shower. Would have been wonderful if you could connect your phone or access Netflix on the to. Sky News is the only English-speaking station.

I frequently come to Köln and stay at the Mercury Friesenstrasse. First of all, the security there is good and especially, the hotel is near bars and I have not been troubled with any issues. The staff is very friendly and great, they try their best to meet your needs. I just want to thank you all the staff for always being very helpful to me. Thank you, Thiago Costa.

I stayed at two ibis hotels, both in Nuremberg and Köln, and I am regretful that both of these hotels left me with bad tastes for German actor hotels. Unfortunately, this mercury hotel came to the rescue and clarified some of these doubts from my unpleasant encounters. The staff members are more skilled and live up to the standard recognition that actor is an international hotel chain rather than a local domestic or family run hotel chain. Therefore, I would conclude that it is most likely not the culture, it is the misinformation of the ibis hotel personnel about what kind of establishment they are actually working for. Thank you mercury hotel staff for better German hospitality.
