This place is recommended, because it has a good reputation for being a safe and secure hotel. Very good English being spoken, easy to get around, and friendly family run hotel, plus enjoyed travelling with their driver for only a few hundred rupees more than a tub. The room itself is basic indian style, but it could be a little less expensive, it plays 600 rupiah per night, but the courteous, accommodating staff made up for it. The rooftop restaurant is open from dawn until 11 am, with stunning sunsets.

I stayed here in the spontaneous one night after arriving late from the train station. Very friendly receptionist and welcome coffee. This hotel is three stars? Which is not really true, although it has potential. Beautiful old building with wood carved doors etc. Clean room, basic but nice and tidy mattress, usually functional bathroom fixtures, no overhead shower. Our bucket shower was lukewarm at best. There is no wifi in the room but down inside the lobby. Basic cheap rooftop restaurant with city views, no fancy. Recommended due to the cheap three-digit room rate.

If you are looking for a budget hotel, this is the place for you. This hotel has a 24-hour front desk and room service. Nearby sites are Mohair Temple and Rai Ka Bag Palace which are not far from the Roman Palace Hotel. The room was okay.
