About Villa Norwegia - pool with panorama rice field view
We are Rudi and Happy, owners of Villa Norway in Yogyakarta. The villa is a blend of Norwegian modern style and Indonesian tropical atmosphere, which is located in rural and relaxing rice fields and tropical forest with great and private views with a private large swimming pool. Located only 45 min drive into the city.

The space
- Bedroom # 1: is the largest room, which additionally has a small office/vanity, bathtub and has direct access to the garden with a fantastic view of the rice fields
- Bedroom # 2 also has a direct exit to the garden with an amazing rice field view.
- Bedroom # 3 is a family room with room for a big family consisting of a double bed and a big bunk bed.
There is available baby chair, crib and toys if needed. The bedrooms are well separated by doors between walk to and from kitchen and living room to isolate noise. It allows all guests to be comfortable, and use all the amenities.
It is a modern and fully equipped kitchen with all western amenities including microwave and dishwasher, as well as a dining area for many guests. The living room is a blend of modern and traditional touch with local art. It offers a comfortable sofa, large Android TV with satellite and sound system. Living room and kitchen also have a separate guest toilet.
From living room you have a great view to the outdoor areas and rice fields and you can walk directly down the stairs to the outdoor area. The garden has an area of 1500 m2 consisting of an inifinity swimming pool which is 15 meters x 4 x meters and is 1.4 meters high. From here, you can really get the serenity of looking out, with 180 degree views, of the rice fields, the forest, and the mountains in the background that are virtually free of noise, which is unusual in a populated city like this one.
Next to the swimming pool there are 6 sunbeds where you can find peace. There is also a terrace with 2 tables and 8 chairs where you can eat all meals, grill or just have a cup of coffee and enjoy the view. There is also an outdoor lounge with sofa and chairs with seating for a minimum of 8 people. It has a roof over it with a ceiling fan. Here you can enjoy the evenings together. In addition, it has a refrigerator, sink and a separate guest toilet.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire lot except one smaller building that security personnel live, and a laundry room with a private entrance in the main building that is for staff access only.
There will be no other guests throughout your stay.
Other things to note
It is recommended that guests come with their own car or rent a car with a driver (we can arrange it) as it can be challenging to find other transportation opportunities from here. There are local restaurants in Wates, and a few modern eateries 15-20 min from the villa. Or just enjoy the villa and order food delivery from one of Indonesian food delivery apps.
Please be quiet in the outdoor area after 11 pm, because it is located in a traditional village in Yogyakarta.
The safety of children in the swimming pool and all areas, separate staircase area outside, is your own responsibility.
No smoking is allowed inside. Smoking should be done outside, and needs to be properly disposed of.
