With this villa as our home base, we spent five days enjoying the setting and the coast. The house itself is lovely and very spacious, with a great terrace, great views, and a pool, and the house manager, David, is excellent and extremely accommodating. It also has lovely, spacious bathrooms, and excellent air conditioning. A great housekeeper is also excellent. The house is a little tired and needs to be updated to remain at the top of upscale travel, given its cost. While he was lovely, the house requires a better cook. The real challenge is getting from the house, though. The house is not suitable for those who are not extremely fit and who would like to climb a lot of stairs and climb. It's fantastic if all you want to do is sit outside at the house. The house is not accessible by automobile. David was quite kind in arranging a tiny car on demand, but that's not feasible. My suggestion is that they should purchase their own golf cart, other than those in position, and it would be a game changer for the experience of this house.

When we got to the villa, we were comfortable in the home and only had one bedroom. They serve very good food and serve great food. And then, they also provide a kitchen with amazing service too.

Villa del Filii is a wonderful property with stunning views of the area, is very big and cozy, has excellent bedrooms, bathrooms, and a good kitchen. We stayed here for 9 nights, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The only thing I would say is that it is a good walk up the steps to the villa. I knew that when I picked this villa for a group of friends, I had chosen a lovely property with great amenities. What I wasnt anticipating was the outstanding service of franco, the property manager. We could not have asked for more from the minute we arrived by minivan until we left the villa a week later. The rental agent advised me to expect 4 hours of maid service each day. What I had not been told was that franco would arrive at 5 am every morning to bake fresh croissants and prepare a buffet breakfast that was superior to that of most fivestar hotels. He made dinner reservations for us and returned in the evening from his home in the next town to make sure we were safe on the shuttle buses he had arranged for the eateries. One of the highlights of the week was a dinner cooked by a chef and served to us on the terrace of the villa as we enjoyed the sunset over the position. The only disadvantage to the villa is the walk back up the villa from the lower part of town. It takes approximately 1520 minutes up many stairs. You can take the town bus the most of the way or a taxi. We chose to walk because it helped burn off the pasta and delicious food we couldnt pass up. I travel very frequently and always like to try something new but when I return to the location, this is the spot Ill be staying.

They give me 5 days at this fantastic old villa in a perfect location. The personnel is very helpful. The villa is always clean in every corner. The beds are very comfortable and there is also a beautiful solarium with a pool and bar. I hope to come back to this paradise soon.

About Villa Dei Fisici

The Villa is a friendly establishment with panoramic views of Positano and the Amalfi Coast. The elegant rooms and suites have a terrace with sea views. This eighteenth century villa has well appointed rooms and antique furniture. Some have painted ceilings. Every day, the Villa offers a continental breakfast on the terrace if the weather permits. It also offers an American breakfast on request. The property is 1.5 km from the beaches of the city and Marina Grande. Amalfi is a 15 minute drive.
