We have stayed at Villa Laguna many times over the years. Lido has always offered a break from the large crowds in venice itself. The downside is access and the time and effort needed to travel there and back to the city. This time we took water taxis out of concern for couid and the crowds on vaporetti and then when a transportation strike pretty much required a water taxi back to the airport. Plan on 45 minutes to an hour to go to lido or from lido to mainland venice unless you take a water taxi. But we've found that the effort is worth it in Villa Laguna. It's a lovely old hotel with friendly staff. The restaurant has always been a reason to stay there in the past. We have had great dinners there. Breakfast is excellent and staffed by friendly and helpful people. The view across the laguna to San marco is beautiful as always. Dinner was the only disappointment of the trip. Our meals were average, but the price is not worth it.

This place has a beautiful view and this place is very beautiful. I can only recommend this place to those of you who want to have an amazing experience. They serve excellent breakfast with many varieties and the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. They also have a cosy and delicious room. Thank you to Fjord, Steffania and Sebastian for their kind service. I also hope to come back to this place again when visiting Venice.

One of the few places where you can enjoy the view of Venice from your room window. And have a peaceful breakfast by the lagoon and the same wonderful view. Rooms are very nice and spacious, but floor plan can be more optimal.

The ideal place to visit with 3 tourists. First off, the location is at the shore, 20 meters from the waterway terminal. My older son got his room in each suite that I shared with my younger son. From my pillow, I could see a postcard. The bathroom was the only issue in this top-floor room. It had no fixed bathtub and a small bath, but they moved us to the ground floor with a modern walk-in shower and,.. Garden, where we had fun without feeling too much danger from the postcard perspective, which was almost as good from the lower level as the upstairs. Certainly not the pillow view. The breakfast was spotless and provided plenty of delectable items to please everyone. Salmon, apricot tart, bacon, fresh fruit, croissants, nutella, and numerous teas and juices. The staff consistently set out to improve. My youngest son enjoyed the croissants, and they baked more with minutes until breakfast was done. The outside bar next to our garden is very comfortable and calm, with a beautiful view.

We stayed at Villa Laguna in the winter and liked the central location of the hotel, the opportunity to stroll around Lido and the Venice area. I really liked the Quiet Room facing the Laguna, it made me happy. I had a great time, and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
