Price is not that good. Price is more expensive than broken in huttese prices for the quality of the place and the location. Dont book this place if you are not good at climbing. It is on a little hill and the roads are closed in the winter. The hotel is a place to stay for skiers. You wake up and hit the slopes, and you return to sleep. There is no need to pay 700 yen for breakfast and two for dinner and a 500 yen for dinner. For breakfast every morning, and dinner the last night, I had breakfast every morning and dinner. Good value for money. You must negotiate with her if she prepares Japanese or western breakfast. However, both are excellent. 20 minutes before breakfast time, the bread was freshly baked. Although the spoken English is limited, it is enough to get by and understand herself. Do not expect to have an unforgettable experience if you have never tried it before. You can choose to have a Western bed or tatami rooms. Toilet and shower facilities are shared but adequate. After skiing, there is a room full of clothes and boots drying. It was like having your own mountain cabin. Its quiet and unique for city dwellers. Do manage your expectations. You generally get what you pay for. But in this instance, I believe I get a lot more for the experience than what we paid for.

For the price, hard to get better than this. I’m coming to ski for 3 days in the Hakuba area. If you are like me, read on. Easy things first, the bad thing, this ryokan is located on top of a small hill, the last 50-100meter you need to walk up a small hill, in winter snowy times when the road is layered with snow or even ice, hauling your ski equipment is no easy task, if you are coming with kids or like me arriving at night could be challenging, location on google map is correct but the walk path is slight off. I managed to overcome all of this. Now the good things, you are within walking distance (10mins) to Happo One resort (the biggest in the ski area) and within 5mins to the bus terminal, which you take free ski bus (if you have the Hakuba valley ski pass) to other ski resort in the area meaning that once you get here it’s very nice (u still need to walk or ski down the small hill daily to get in/out). The owner speak little English, provide breakfast if u let them know 4pm on the day before. They also sell discount ticket to the 2 Onden nearby. Room is very clean and bathroom is shared but clean also. Bathroom is freezing cold when you go at night

Stayed for a night. Even though you have to go up a small hill, it is very cheap for the distance from the gondola. The owner is very friendly and chatative. When I was staying, two British people were working as sponges and they were so helpful.

What a fantastic discovery. This roman-style location, hidden behind a temple and a short walk from the gondola, was ideal for the group. A very comfortable stay was made possible by large tatami rooms and a large lounge with a kotatsu. The owner was very friendly and made sure that we were as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was excellent value at 700 yen and for the price of this place, it's one of the best I've stayed at, and I'll definitely stay here again.

Consequently, many Aussies go out of their way to discover Japanese snowfields and do everything in their power to keep everyone from feeling unaware they are actually in Japan. If this is you, you wont have a hard time finding lodging and restaurants to suit your predominant, bilingual requirements. Nonetheless, go no further if you want to take in not only exceptional snow but also the best of traditional Japanese hospitality and cuisine at a reasonable price. Our fourperson group was composed of two speakers of Japanese and two speakers of another different language. Yet those two had no trouble interacting with the charming proprietor who went above and beyond to ensure that your stay is enjoyable and simple. The following things are great accommodations, a sizable drying area, and free wifi in addition to the fact that this location does not provide a 24-hour checkin desk, a stunning website, or gimmicky promotional items. Add local onset discounts, excellent cuisine, and a location that is somehow central and remote. If you get the chance to stay here, consider yourself lucky.

This place is definitely a winner! A very nice surprise while we were skiing in Japan with my friends. The owner prepares delicious breakfast free and dinner at a cheap price. We had several meals at her table. I wholeheartedly endorse her location for its location, the friendliness of the owner she is learning English and does her best to communicate in English, the delicious meals, and the rooms in which we all slept really well.
