I wouldnt have expected this to be a ryokan. Its primarily aimed at providing excellent value for the money in upscale accommodations. The hotel offers lovely rooms that are well worth the price. I particularly enjoyed the garden view and the stunning automated bathtub, which offered sweeping views of the yard. However, expect nothing like reassuring hospitality from reyoken, even though the staff will assist you with most of your requests. Breakfast options include either bento or maeda coffee shops coupons, both of which are not great. There is no choice. My room had hardly any internet access because of its poor wifi. Additionally, i was unable to connect to the internet in the room due to erratic wifi connections. Furthermore, after making reservations and paying for my room, they informed me that the hotel would close on the day ive checked out, so they couldnt store my bags for me. That wasnt what suited me to anticipate.

I would stay here again. This place was the best hotel we stayed at during our stay! If only we could have remained longer. The shower was amazing, the staff was extremely kind and friendly, and the lovely little garden view was breathtaking! 10/10!.

As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows: 

【Accommodation tax through 28 February 2026】  
For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500   
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000  

【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】  
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000   

For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.
