I had the best shower and bath of my life there, there's a lot of water pressure and very hot, next to the shower is the onsen bath open all night. The staff was a friendly and attentive the installations are beautiful. They Give you are Yukata that you can wear around town to get into the onsens. I made a reservation for the Japanese style breakfast and it was delicious they serve you Tamago Onsen. Would stay again. Lovely.

The best position spot of that street! It’s a wonderful experience and the service is good! It’s a traditional ryokan, but yes, the stay is good!

Amazing experience staying at this ryokan. Upon arrival they had our name on a piece of paper posted in the front window of the hotel which was helpful to identify that we were in the right spot. Room was large. Staff was Super nice speaking english and answering all our questions. Breakfast was AMAZING! We wish we had also done dinner. Right in the middle of all the hot springs which was fantastic.

The hosts are an extremely friendly older couple, making every effort to make us feel comfortable. Food is delicious and sometimes more than enough. Big clean rooms and nice location in a predominantly comfortable street of the village not far from the monkey park

The location is great and close to the snow monkey park. The hosts are very friendly and help us with our English language problem.

Beautiful traditional family-run roman. Despite having poor English-speaking ability, the hosts are a kind elderly couple who went above and beyond to make you feel at home and engage in conversation. We were able to communicate fairly well because I am a little Japanese. The Roman was very cold in the winter as is customary in Japan, and the ofuro bath was extremely heated. I had to admit defeat at both supper and breakfast. Though the japanese cuisine is excellent, it is too much to eat. It was a lovely touch to be shown to the bus stop to see the snow monkeys, and because mars Katagiri was concerned about my cough, she gave me and made me wear japanese jet packs in my clothes. Overall, despite it being a touch on the expensive side for what you get, I would without a doubt suggest a stay at this roman. The nearest atm is in Yudanaka, so make sure to locate an ATM before you arrive at Shiva onset.

There is a common bathroom on the first floor. This is the first-floor shower in the basement. The communal areas and corridors were a touch damp, however the rooms were nice and had space heaters. The shower in the basement is the beginning shower. A woman in the restroom immediately made us tea and showed us around the roman. The innkeeper was waiting for us at the bus stop but luckily it was at his desk at the bus stop and the wife was very friendly. The innkeeper was not a three, four, or five-star hotel. I'm glad I got to be able to share this very traditional roman experience. We were directed to the romans by following him. When we had to leave the train at the station, there was an English-speaking information center guy who could call our romans and advise us on how to get there. We were dispatched onto a city bus and taken on our way. We had no idea which bus stop we were at because, fortunately, the innkeeper was waiting for us at the bus stop. The wife immediately made us tea and we were shown around. The toilet is located on the first floor and is shared. There is a shower in the basement that has an initial shower. The rooms were nice and comfortably heated with a space heater, but the communal spaces and corridors were a little cold. The hosts also offered us a

The whole experience in this Roman is great. The hosts are very friendly and make sure you enjoy your stay and relax even though their English is basic. The place and facilities are very traditional Japanese. While we found all aspects of this place are great the dinner experience was without a doubt the best of Ilaria. As a final note, as our booking was not pre-paid we had to pay for our stay in cash, which seems to be a very common practice in Japan.
