We had an excellent stay at this home in Kanazawa. The traditional Japanese-style gave us an authentic and memorable experience, exactly what we were hoping for. The Japanese-style beds were surprisingly comfortable and the facilities were outstanding. Service and check-in were seamless and the host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing all the information we needed for an amazing stay and even a thoughtful welcome gift. We booked this stay especially for our two teenage kids to experience Japanese culture and it exceeded our expectations. The property was spotless and fully equipped including a very convenient washer/dryer. Highly recommend to anyone looking for genuine and comfortable Japanese stay. A warm thank you to our wonderful host for making our stay so special, and for recommending all the sights and restaurants.

The house is amazing and full of history. We received exceptional hospitality a host prepared a gift for my birthday and spent more than 30 minutes learning about the history of japan, kanazawa, samurai and his family. Beautiful plates and decorations from hundreds of years ago. Great experience, glad we didnt go to a 5 star hotel!.

The owner is the most pleasant person ever. When we arrived, we spoke with him for over an hour about the house and samurai history, despite his limited english. He was incredibly passionate. He gave us advice on what to do both culturally and for food. It was wonderful that he made us a reservation at a nearby restaurant. After our initial conversation, he was active on instagram with additional recommendations and assistance if we needed it. If youre looking for a genuine japanesestyle home, the house itself is excellent. Its simple to get there because it is close to the station.

If you want to live an authentic Japanese experience, this is the best place for it. It is well located and comfortable with two floors. It is the house of a samouraï built 150 years ago but with all the modern conveniences: air conditioned in every room, TV, WiFi, fonctional kitchen and even a washer/drier. But the best part is the owner Hitty. He gave us great information about Kanazawa and Kyoto like what to see and where to eat. He even showed us some of the family heirloom from his great-great-grandfather who was a samouraï. And he came over immediately when I could not operate the microwave oven. He is friendly, helpful and speaks English well.

Saya pikir perjalanan kami akan lebih menyenangkan jika kami bisa tinggal di wisma ini lebih lama. Fasilitasnya banyak, AC dan colokan listrik. Fasilitas yang cocok untuk pandemi virus corona. Sangat direkomendasikan. Fasilitas dan restoran yang direkomendasikan oleh Pak Konishi (pemilik wisma) sempurna. Kami bertiga jatuh cinta pada Seitakaku. Lain kali kami pasti akan mengunjungi Museum Suzuki Daisetsu. Setelah check-in, hari masih pagi jadi saya diantar ke Higashiyama. Pembicaraan dan informasi singkat tentang mobil itu menyenangkan, dan itu adalah kenangan indah perjalanan saya ke Kanazawa. Saya pasti akan mengunjunginya lagi.

Very enjoyable stay at in a historic building. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and traditional Japanese. There were two tatami bedrooms on the second floor, and on the fist floor a comfortable sitting area, dining room with a large table and roomy seats for six, along with a functional kitchen, washer/dryer unit, and a nice deep ofuro (Japanese style bath for soaking) with separate shower for washing. What made the stay truly exceptional was the owners attention to details and ensuring our enjoyable experience. The rooms included tokonoma with beautiful ikebana flower arrangements provided by the owners wife, as well as a walk through of the rooms including the home’s ‘treasure room’ which contains fascinating artifacts from the Edo and Meiji periods. Definitely enjoyed and will stay here again if visiting Kanazawa.

Saya menginap di sini bersama 5 teman. Berbeda dengan eksterior, fasilitas interiornya canggih! Ada juga mesin cuci drum. Jangan tertipu dengan penampilan! Namun, Anda juga dapat benar-benar merasakan budaya Jepang kuno yang baik. Suasananya lebih tua dari Showa, tetapi tidak terasa kuno. Hal ini juga dikelola dengan baik. Respon dari pengelola juga luar biasa. Tidak ada yang perlu dikeluhkan! Jika saya memiliki kesempatan untuk datang ke Kanazawa lagi, saya pasti ingin menggunakannya lagi! Rumah ini dulunya ditempati oleh para samurai, namun telah direnovasi menjadi gaya modern. Ada barang-barang di loteng yang pernah digunakan oleh para samurai di masa lalu dan orang yang bertanggung jawab menjelaskannya kepada saya. Semua anggota kelompok perempuan sangat puas dengan penginapan kuno yang merupakan townhouse tua yang telah direnovasi. This place was super unique in its look, culture, and history. It was clean and updated with modern amenities while keeping its Japanese aesthetic. The host was the one of the nicest people we have come across and you can tell that he is passionate about Japanese history. There are a good amount of places to eat, along with Omicho market being a close walk. Definitely recommend this place for a stay in Kanazawa.
