House Rules
Shoes and Tatami Mats
• Please remove all outdoor shoes at the entrance. Indoor slippers are provided for your convenience.
• When entering the tatami room, slippers must be removed. Only bare feet or socks are permitted on tatami mats.
• Avoid placing heavy items on tatami mats including luggage.
Walls & Flooring
• Some walls are delicate natural clay finished, so keep them dry and avoid moisture to prevent damage.
• Our natural wood floors, ceilings, and walls add warmth and character. Please keep them dry and free from wet items to help maintain their beauty.
• A designated area is provided for luggage – kindly place it there and lift it when possible to protect flooring.
Garden Entrance
• Do not step on or move the bigger stones; they are arranged to reflect Japanese aesthetics.
• The tree is delicate – please avoid touching its branches or leaves, and do not pour water on it.
Quiet Hours
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Please use indoor voices and avoid loud activities.
No Smoking or Open Flames
• Smoking, candles, incense, and open flames are strictly prohibited indoors.
No Pets
• Pets are not permitted on the property.
