Excellent property in all regards. Clean, comfortable room with great views. Walking distance to the ski resort. Many dining options in close walking proximity. The staff was very friendly and helpful and served us an amazing traditional Japanese breakfast.

With great value, excellent hotel, and excellent service. To be honest, the typical tatami and room are simple with a to, a heater, a kettle, and that's it! However, expect this and everything is fantastic. The family-owned staff was outstanding and responded to our every question and request regarding where to go for dinner, where to go for one's, etc. The location is 10 minutes from the slopes, 5 minutes on foot, and 5 minutes on the shifting carpet. Restaurants and shops are nearby and far enough away from noise. The mattresses and blankets were very comfortable and warm enough to sleep well through the night. The showers were very hot, the sinks and bathrooms were all nearby shared and the entire property was spotless. I have no complaints. Cons there is no place to go for a bath in the morning the bath only opened from 1500 until 2200. There are public ones nearby that you can take, but this is just something to consider.

We had never been to Nozawaonsen before after reading so many favorable reviews of that ski resort. We were led to a clean, traditional Japanese room after arriving at Azegamikan. My family of four had 4 large and comfortable traditional japanese beds. We were even permitted to do our laundry for free even in the frigid winter weather. If you chose not to wait for your turn to shower in the resort's only shared restroom, the entrance was just a minute's walk away. Although the owner and his staff speak little English, that didn't stop them from showing their warmth. Since it was our first time participating in a winter sport, the proprietor, Takayoshisan, went above and beyond to show his compassion for us. The morning we had to depart, he even drove us to the railway station. Thank you azegamikan, we'll return soon.

A really nice little hotel. The hosts are really friendly and helpful. We stumbled at a random little train station and had trouble getting a taxi so we rang the hotel to request a taxi reservation. Instead, the host picked us up! They also assisted us in locating the correct buses when we left. We stayed in a western style room, and it was very warm and the bed was very comfortable. I will undoubtedly return here. Thank you!.

The employees here are great, and the place is good, and comfortable. This hotel was renovated in the style of the Roman. They provide a drying area for equipment and also plenty of space to leave it. They provide a toilet and a bigger room to sleep up to 6 or 7 people. They have a restaurant here for breakfast and dinner and not on 3 or 4 floors. The location is close to restaurants and the gawa outdoor hot spring.
