It may be easier to arrive if you use public transportation such as express buses because it is so close to Shirakawa bus station, which is right before the final destination, Kurokawa bus station. The personnel were quite pleasant. The meal wasn't bad. The hot spa was nice. Cons It may be challenging to communicate if you aren't good at Japanese. The facility was a little old, so it could have been better. If there is a chance, I'll book this spa hotel again.

This is a well run hotel away from the city and hot spring resort. This place provides warm service, nice hot springs, and a simple atmosphere for staying. The food they serve is simple but well prepared.

My wife and I were looking for a Roman over the new years weekend and had a very difficult time finding availability despite the fact that we began our search nearly a year earlier. We were able to locate this place on application, and overall it was a pleasant stay. We had taken the bus from Fukuoka, and the last stop before Kurokawa onset drops you off right at the roman. We werent aware of this, so we walked into town to the tourist office from the last bus stop. They called the Roman, and the owner came and picked us up. The room was larger than I expected, we reserved a superior room, and there was a sleeping area, eating area, and a small private entrance for our room. Unfortunately, there wasnt a truly comfortable sitting area in our room to relax. Despite some other reviews, we felt the room was warm enough because it was the middle of winter. The roman was a bit far from the town. This meant either taking a taxi, which was difficult, or driving us in. This was truly neither convenient nor practical for either of us. It could most probably walk it in half an hour, but it wasnt ideal in winter. The breakfast and dinner offered were fantastic, despite being heavily seafoodheavy. It was difficult at times as we made it work more or less, and there was a very helpful Chinese

I write on behalf of my parents who stayed with the Roman Yanosako. They were really satisfied with the hosts who went out of their way to make their stay comfortable. We had some communication difficulties, but the hosts were very accommodating and patient with us. I will come back with the whole family in the future!

Located a little outside of kurokawaonsen's town center and accessable by car either from Kurokawaonsen's main road 442. The room was hot early March. Windows did not isolate properly, and air conditioning was having issues. We received an extra heater. However, the changing room for the boxspring area is also cold. There, we got a rude neighbor who complained about the cold. The restaurant's breakfast and dinner are excellent. The proprietors are very helpful. Parking is available and WiFi is available everywhere.
