The futons were comfy, and our room was clean and traditional. It wasn't too hot when we got there because they also had the air conditioning running for us when we arrived. Our two nights at the hotel were fantastic! They helped us with all of our questions about the island and helped two vegetarians in our group eat breakfast and dinner. Even if their English wasn't perfect, it was enough to help us find our way around the island! The onset is also fantastic, a hot and cold bath on a summer's day after a long hike was more useful. We have stayed at many hotels with ones, and this one is without a doubt one of the nicest we've ever seen.

The staff at this hotel were very helpful and friendly, they set up a table with a traditional tea set during the day, then when we went back in the evenings, they transform it into a bedroom with our beds neatly made. They serve amazing food. They also serve excellent service.

I spent two nights there and took in both Yakusugi and Shiranai Usuikyo. Overall, Hashiri Beginning is undoubtedly the best location for travelers looking to visit these sites, and I would return there for my upcoming visit in Yakushima. First of all, it is located right next to the last bus stop that runs for two separate destinations. Yakusugi trail is typically taken early by bus, and a few more minutes to prepare is a big advantage. Next, scoop Mart is a few feet away from the location, where I could pick up some tasty onigiri, sushi, and other Japanese prepared dinners, especially at a price that was low at night. Traditional Japanese Roman style tatami decorates the rooms. No frills, but I didn't make an effort to get hot springs. Although the staff couldn't speak English, they were always willing to assist in getting the proper answer.

There are shared bathrooms on the site. The bus to Shiranai Unsuikyo ravine stops right outside. Tatami mats on the floor, spacious main room with air conditioning, and private bath. Very comfortable. Our sitting room overlooked the parking lot and the main road, but there are rooms that overlook the river. Friendly staff and breakfast was available, but breakfast was not included in our room price. Our room was prepared twice a day, first cleaned, all the bedding was put away and set up our living room, and then, later in the day, our bedding was set up for the night again.

To get to the airport and harbor in Miyanoura, the hotel offered a complimentary shuttle service. You can travel most of the sights by bus even though the bus schedule isn't regularly scheduled. Even though it was raining on both the day and the afternoon, I spent three days at yakushimas in July 1113. I went to the information center to get the essentials there before taking a trip to Yoshima. For this trip, I made all plans. Before leaving for Yashima, I drove to the Hashiri Annex to first drop off our belongings. The hotel has a bus stop right in front of it, making it a great time to take the bus to Shiranai Usuikyo. The staff told us that our room was ready and that our luggage would be delivered to our rooms after walking and returning to the hotel. The room is spacious and tidy. The hotel has a public hot bath and a sonar room, making them a pleasure to take a hot bath after a long day of hiking. A vending machine and a self-service paid coffee bar are both in the lobby. The scoop supermarket is just a 10-minute walk away. When I returned to the hotel, I got off at the scoop bus stop. It is convenient if you are not driving.
