Entrance to the accommodation was not easy to locate as I passed at least thrice before figuring out where it is. The front desk closes at 6pm and there isn’t a lift so beware not to carry too heavy. The stack where my room is not soundproof and was offered a family room upgrade on a different stack. Overall the stay was pleasant as it’s right in the middle of the new town and a tourist attraction with lots of local coffee shops. The room was rustic but clean with pleasantly strong air conditioning to deal with the heat, so I left well despite the rooms not soundproofed. I look forward to stay here again next time I visit Ipoh

Uniquely-designed property with rustic feel. Clean and comfortable although room amenities are fairly basic. Easy parking on the street if you arrive during non-peak hours. Within very close walking distance to many shopping attractions, restaurants and bars around the Concubine Lane and surrounding areas. Rooms walls are quite thin so you could hear sounds (foot steps, voices, toilet flush, shower, crying kids, etc.) from the next room. But, most visitors seem quite considerate during our stay there and kept their noise to the minimum. Pillows are soft but not very comfortable (too low) for side sleeper like me which caused a bit of neck strain in the morning. If you are very particular about this, bring along a 2nd slim pillow to add height.

The front desk is a little hard to find. Hidden in an alley. But once you find it all is very good. The room is clean and has a window that opens facing a walkway with plants, very nice.

Hotelnya lumayan untuk solo traveling atau lg on budget, yg suka bangunan tua pasti suka hotel ini karna hotel ini deketttt bgt sma Concubine Lane. Hotel ini lantainya dari kayu, jadi tiap ada gerakan pasti berisik, suara di kamar sebelah jg kedengeran. Selebihnya sih OK minusnya, waktu saya tiba check-in nya ngaret bgt mungkin ada tunggu 30 menit. Dan kalau udh lewat dari jam 6 sore, pintunya dikunci dan mesti masuk dari pintu lain. Mungkin awal2 agak bingung, tp selebihnya udh biasa. Mantep lah.
