Helpful staff - Linda manages it all beautifully. Plenty of food - not gourmet but thats not why we were there. Pleasant rooms and bathrooms. It is out in the wild - and it feels like it. Twice a day small groups were taken out in motor boats down the river Kitabangan for the chance to view a variety of monkeys, orangutans, Borneo elephants. It was a bird watchers papadise. Our driver Tanjong did his best to find us the Borneo 5. What a wonderful 3 days and nights.

The resort and facilities are basic compared to a city hotel, but it's really fantastic when you consider where it is. We really enjoyed our stay!

ボルネオの自然を楽しむならここが一番良いです。朝と夕のボートクルージングは最高です。スタッフも皆さんとてもやさしいです。

The property is basic, but well maintained and food is pretty good mostly. Beer available to buy. No wifi - but you can get a poor connection from receptionist's phone acting as hotspot. Friendly atmosphere. 3 days, 2 nights, equals 4 boat journeys, 1 day walk and 2 night walks. First 2 boat trips were disappointing - didn't see much except same monkeys who hang around camp. 3rd saw orangutans and crocodiles. 4th saw whole herd of pygmy elephants with calves on riverbank and swimming. The elephants were delightfully noisy at night around camp - but didn't see them until final day. The 30 min day walk by stagnant pools of water - we all got bitten to death by mosquitoes through clothing -despite spray and one person wearing anti-mosquito clothing and we saw no living creatures. If it wasn't for the 3rd and 4th boat trip, I'd give a low rating for experience - but the orangutans, elephants and crocs made it incredibly special. And then you love everything else - the company, being on the water, etc.

The lodge organised your transport from sandakan or Sepilok and takes approx 2-3 hrs. Included in the price is a boat trip in the afternoon, your dinner on night of arrival, dawn boat trip and two short morning and night walks through the jungle and breakfast. You then leave at 8:20am they drop you off at Sepilok or Sandakan. We stayed 2 nights & all meals included. But the itinerary simply repeats itself. We did 4 boat trips. Really knowledgeable and helpful staff, really good value for all it includes and absolutely lovely people. No orangutans or elephants for us, but you can’t tell wild animals when to turn up! Loved our time there!

Super cool resort on stilts with pleasant cabins designed to blend into the natural environment... with a/c, mosquito nets, and hot water shower. The resort picks you up in Sandakan and brings you back... I recommend the 3D/2N package which includes meals.

Great place to see all sorts of animals whilst on the river The treks are well worn trails, where we saw lonely a few animals. The accommodation was really clean and comfortable Only annoying point was related to our transfer. We requested to go to Semporna so they assured us they would drop us at the morning bus. When we arrived to the area they contacted the bus company and found out there was no bus in the morning. If they had checked before we could have made other arrangements however instead we had to go all the way back to sandakan.

Thank you so much for our stay at your resort. A special thank you to Kiko and Apok! Apok was a knowledgable and enthusiastic guide who educated both my girlfriend and I with his wealth of knowledge. We did all the activities with him and we're never left disappointed, he was always quick to spot and identify all the wildlife is tourists failed to spot. We couldn't thank him enough on the day and nights river cruises, the day and night jungle walks and of course a special thank you for the tour of your village (which is worth a visit). Kiko, your enthusiasm and energy is incredible. We loved the evening of music and dance. Never change! If you're looking for clean accomodation that is both affordable and has all the charms of the jungle, then book here. We spent four days and three nights here and loved it!!!

The food was very bad, no bar. And then, the place is clean and beautiful. After that, the staff is extremely helpful. Subsequently, I saw some orangutans, nose monkeys, and crocodiles.

The location is good, right in the middle of the lovely garden and deck. They are polite monkeys, who will pinch your toast as soon as you turn your back. Buffet cuisine with soups, fruit, salad, and tea and coffee stations. Our room was excellent, with a large bathroom and a bed with mosquito nets. The shower was in the bathroom. Our river cruise was amazing, with many birds, elephants, monkeys, etc.

If we weren't for my husband's screaming at everyone to get down because of the thick overhanging trees, it would have been a completely different story. I wrote this in the hope that the safety standards are improved as a beautiful lodge with so much potential. However, we feel unsafe while returning. When we landed, we had to fly from our spot in Sepilok to the lodge. It should take about 2.5 hours to drive from Sepilok to the lodge as it was a weekend vacation with a lot of traffic. The driver was the most dangerous I have ever met. He often drove far over the speed limit, overtook trucks on blind corners, and the scariest aspect of the trip was when he overtook 7 vehicles in a row. When we reacted to the manager, fortunately, they set up another driver on our way home. The second safety mishap left us at a river crash. Some of the boats are well-maintained. There were three adults and one child, and we were all harmed, and it would have been a very different scenario if not for my husband yelling at everyone to get down due to the thickly overhanging trees. When we returned to the lodge, the two people working behind the desk just seemed dumbfounded, failing to give the illusion that the issue would be resolved. They said they would fix the issue

It was the highlight of our two-night river cruise trip to Boreo! River cruises were fantastic, with so much wildlife to see. Our guide, rian, was fantastic, discovering us a herd of elephants, which was the highlight of our entire trip! Fantastic cuisine, excellent staff, and a comfortable lodging with a decent shower, would want to come back!

We highly recommend you visit Kinabatagan at least once to experience borneo wildlife along the 500 am river. This resort has exceeded our expectations in terms of being in Singapore. Our first trip to Kinabatagan. We reserved the don package on our first family trip when the borders reopened in June 2022, which was enough for us. It includes night trials. The resort was able to arrange transport to pick us up from our earlier stay in Sepilok. Fred the ic was friendly and helpful, and ryan, our guide, was excellent and accommodating. We were privileged to see all the big five in Sarah Pygmy Elephants, crocodile, proboscis monkey, rhino hornbill, orang tan, as well as the endangered grey stork and civet cat. Room clean and cozy, plus forgetting to lock your doors with caution. On checkout day, the monkeys ransacking our food bag. Om food well fed three main meals, two tea breaks, free flowing tea and coffee at all times Other people support the local. Buy river shrimps and shun hock fish because you cannot find it any fresher anywhere. Top up a small amount to get the chef ready the seafood. You won't be disappointed. Given that Singapore, this resort has exceeded our expectations.

Really lovely room but found we had to ask to get beds remade or room serviced. All meals supplied but pretty basic. All of this more than made up for by the wonderful friendly guides and river excursions morning and evening. What these guys could spot from hundreds of metres whilst zooming along at high speed had to be seen to be believed. Absolutely amazing, as was the variety of bird and wildlife. Don't miss it.
