Effective January 1, 2025, the Malacca City Council will impose a Heritage Tax of MYR 3-5 per room per night. This tax applies to all types of accommodations, including but not limited to 0 to 5-star hotels, hotel apartments, motels, inns, homestays, villas, and resorts. The fee is payable directly upon check-in and is not included in the room rates or taxes stated herein.
Effective September 1st, 2017, as per Government of Malaysia requirements, hotel guests who are not Malaysian citizens or long-term/permanent residents of Malaysia will be levied a tourism tax of RM 10.00 per room per night stay. Please note these changes in tax structure will result in revised taxes being charged and will be payable additionally during check in.
