We regret not making the time to go west. Catching whitebaits. Enjoying the Sunset Lodge's scenery. We got typical Westcoast hospitality. Take a ride with Selwyne to the ago or a 4-wheeler to the river mouth. Or only go for about 100 I along the river bank. A peaceful ambiance. Naughty weak and their babies or Tui and bell bird calling in the trees. I'll see you again next year.

After flying 20 hours from the us, what a pleasure it was to arrive at the Watuna Sunset Lodge! We had a great start to our adventure on the South Island. The accommodation was perfect, the view was perfect, and they went above and beyond to make a guest feel welcome and at ease. The ago adventure across the creek and on the beach was fantastic. The hosts provided excellent travel advice because we would have missed Hokitika gorge, which was breathtaking, and the drinks with canapes were provided for free. We had a refreshing hot tub spa after staying here after a long flight to recuperate from our long flight. I appreciate you so much!.

We spent Easter for 5 nights. We used awatuna as our base to go day trips along sections of the wilderness trail. It was a perfect place halfway between hoi and Kumar. Elisabeth and sewn are great hosts. The environment, food, evening drinks on the deck, hot tub and getting to know the other guests all contributed to a wonderful stay. All of this is summarized by the view of the taxman sea and the sunsets. Both sewn and elisabeth are very skilled at ensuring that guests are given the amount of care they need or do not need, making it a relaxing time as you can explore the grounds and beach. Highly recommend awatuna sunset lodge.

The host, and the view from our room were amazing. The room size was quite large and clean. The location is also strategically located near the beach. They were very helpful and wonderful, even the breakfast was very tasty. The place was so spacious with a beautiful view.
