No need to comment on the surrounding area since the desert is fantastic. One of the sweetest surprises of our entire journey through mankind was Sand Luxor Camp. Jamal and Khalid were incredibly kind and accommodating, they set up a transportation for us because we couldnt get to the camp by kwd vehicle, and Khalid went on a bizarre safari trip to view the sunrise, driving on the dunes like a roller coaster and telling stories about his bedouin family. We had a great time on the dunes because they offered us free sledges. The bed was amazingly comfortable, far better than most other hotels we stayed in, the tent was spacious and spotless. We enjoyed a full meal with traditional fare Rice, soups, hummus, legs, salads, grilled meats, freshly baked bread, fruit, dates, and sweets. Breakfast was also very good when I travel, where I enjoy eating typical fare, but I must say, I was extremely happy to have some omani bread with nutella. Finally, jamal's assistance went far beyond the desert, he was able to find a driver and arranging a day trip for us to be in rebel akbar on christmas Day. We couldn't go there with our kwd vehicle and we would miss something special without jamal's assistance! I

The place is very clean, comfortable and ideal for Instagram photos. The tents were spacious, the area had og service if you stay in a desert, just stay offline and the toilets were clean. Dinner was fine, gave you the local lifestyle idea. Only improvement would be the breakfast. The owner is very friendly and always willing to tell you the facts about man.

The hotel is very clean and has a close location to the city. The staff is helpful and kind as well. This was a fantastic experience, my friend, Anwar Camp Manager, they are really kind. On the way we were stuck in the desert but he came to assist us.

This camp has everything we need. The tents were spacious and with good internet connections for the desert. The food options were varied and varied. The camp was maintained very neatly and the staff was very friendly. All that was great from check to checkout. Will definitely visit them again, a very nice choice.

It was only one night but the camp, food and guide sales were great. I would recommend this place to everybody. And, if you want to see the stars, go when there's no moon and don't forget to go sandbagging.

C’est limite scandaleux de mettre « luxury » et de demander un tel prix ! Certes l’emplacement est splendide, mais c’est tout. Aucun luxe, les tentes en plastique sentent donc cette odeur de plastique, sauf la salle de bain, odeurs d’égouts (c’est plutôt compréhensible en plein désert) bien sûr pas d’eau chaude dans la douche…ou est le luxe ?? Pour les repas l’arnaque continue, on paye le prix d’un repas en 4 étoiles et on se retrouve pour le menu buffet à 20 rials par personne avec une assiette remplie de poulet + riz en grosse quantité + frites ? Avec une salade. Pas de choix pas de dessert. Comme annoncé sur le site il n’y à aucunement 3 restaurants. Il y a 3 menus avec les mêmes plats (ce n’est que la quantité qui change) . Tout cela pourrait être correct si le prix était en corrélation avec les prestations. Enfin il y avait des activités mais après notre arrivée nous n’avons jamais revu le manager… donc nous nous sommes débrouillés seuls. Si jamais le lieu vous tente, négociez et surtout prenez les conseils pour la conduite dans le désert et surtout les coordonnées GPS. Accès très difficile.
