The staff was amazing, welcome me to their house. Both Dinis and Luis A gave amazing customer service. Helped me book some trips, told me great places to eat, booked several reservations for me which was most helpful. The location was so close to all the action.

Located right on the waterfront, this tiny hotel had convenience, a lovely view and fabulous assistance by staff, esp reception. Even the breakfast was beautifully & artfully presented. Rooms are small but everything else was top notch.

Terrific location, right on the river, rooms were small by very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and great lighting. Staff was very helpful and very willing to give us suggestions for visiting attractions and where to eat. Would definitely stay there again, no concern recommending it to others

Everything was great about Guest House Douro: location, property, convenience, delicious breakfasts, dining and transportation close by. But the thing that really sets it apart is the incredible service. Luisa, Denis, Luis, and Hugo are amazing. They aren’t just helpful, they go out of their way to anticipate every need. Obrigada!

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay! Located on the river bank, in the historic district, with incredible views of the river especially at night. The staff were incredibly hospitable and helpful every step of the way, always with a smile and willingness to go out of their way to accommodate us. The breakfasts were superb, filled with beautiful platters of fresh fruits served with all the major food groups. Overall it was an exceptional and memorable stay! A special thank you to Luisa, Dinesh and the rest of the staff for their wonderful hospitality.

What an amazing property with even more fantastic owners and staff. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and do anything they could to help facilitate plans to make our time in Porto as special as possible. If you go to Porto, do yourself a favor and stay at Guest House Douro!

We had a lovely stay here for 2 nights. Luis and Louisa were wonderful! All the staff were. Very helpful for suggesting sites to see and places for dinner. The breakfast was amazing too!! Will definitely stay again.

The staff is truly what makes this place special. They go out of the way to accommodate your needs. The location is also very good, located in the heart of the Ribiera district and a short walk to the bridge to Gaia.

We really enjoyed staying here. The room is relatively small but quite comfortable and clean. The location is excellent, just a short distance to the riverwalk. And centrally located to most tourist destinations. Breakfast was very good continental style. The breakfast room only has a few tables so the desk will ask you what time you would like to have breakfast to prevent overcrowding. Outstanding service and personal attention. This was our first visit to Porto, and it wont be our last. When we come back, we look forward to staying here again.
