The property was exactly as described and we had a great experience staying here. The apartment was very clean, modern, and well maintained, with all of the appliances working perfectly. The location was excellent—right in the city center and only steps away from many great restaurants. We could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. One member of our family uses a wheelchair, and we had no difficulty accessing the apartment or getting around the surrounding area. A huge benefit was the on-site gated parking. Having a secure place to leave our rental car saved us the hassle of trying to find parking downtown and gave us peace of mind throughout our stay. The apartment also had a lovely patio overlooking the courtyard. It was a great place to sit at the end of the day and enjoy a glass of wine. Communication with the owners through the Expedia app was excellent. Check-in and check-out were straightforward, and everything went exactly as expected. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The combination of the location, cleanliness, secure parking, accessibility, and modern accommodations made this an excellent choice. We would definitely stay here again on another visit to the Azores.

My family of five was very satisfied with our accommodations and will definitely return. The two win beds was perfectly suitable for our 5 and 7 year old. Additionally, they were very accommodating with providing a crib for our toddler rather than the cot. The apartment was very clean and equips with all necessities. The two bathrooms were a feature we preferred for the convenience and were highly satisfied.

Just a few notes: Location is great! Walking distance to city gates. Place is modern and clean but damped when we got in. May be the humidity. Need the AC for few hours to get rid of the dampness when we got in. Welcome tokens (fruits, crackers, drinks and bottle of wine) was a nice touch. Look carefully as the orange and apple was rotten the next day. Place is equipped with everything you need to make it home away from home but I wish there’s clear instruction on how to use the appliances, keeping in mind around the world does not use the same appliances. We had to look at google and YouTube on how to use the appliances😅. Clothes not dry enough from dryer after regular cycle, despite doing half load. We ended up hang them on the rack. For a week stay, with no tissue flushing down the toilet, the amount of garbage bags provided was not enough. For cooking, there is only oil and vinegar and no salt and pepper which was usually a staple in household. Internet was a bit slow accessed from the bedroom but strong in the living room. No universal charger was provided so world travellers, bring your own converter. Make sure to request bedroom with private bathroom and access to balcony reserved for the parents. Owner mixed up and that’s disappointing! Owner was flexible for early check in and late check out with cost. Owner was helpful when we asked for assistance on taxi and available anytime you’ve asked them. With anticipation and what we know now, we would book again.

The apartment was beautiful, exactly as described, and the location was excellent. Unfortunately, our experience with the management company, Home Azores, negatively impacted our vacation. When booking our reservation, we accidentally entered the wrong number of guests. We were told by Home Azores that we could pay the additional guest fee in cash upon check-in. Five days after arriving at the rental, they contacted us to collect payment, and we agreed to pay the following morning. I contacted them the next day to arrange payment and explained that I had my credit card ready. I was told the payment had to be made in cash. Home Azores responded: “The payment has to be done today in cash. This has been very clear…it can't be clearer.” I was then told, “I’ll be there in 30/45 minutes.” They later stated: “It was due at check-in…I’ll be there around 11 AM…I can even go with you to the nearest ATM…the payment just needs to be settled today.” The conversation continued throughout the day and they eventually arrived, in person, after 9pm. We never refused payment; we simply needed time to obtain cash after learning it was the only accepted method. Repeated follow-ups, the tone used while clarifying the payment misunderstanding, and their decision to arrive late in the evening after we explained we were preparing our children for bed felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. The apartment was excellent, but our experience with Home Azores greatly overshadowed a wonderful stay.
