We didn't know anything about this place, but would go back in a heartbeat. We stayed in one of the tents, but don't let the word "tent" fool you. Yes it does have canvas walls, but you are on a wood foundation, complete with shower and toilet facilities. They also provide chalets if the "tent" thing is to adventurous for you. The grounds are beautiful and landscaped very well, and the staff is very attentive. Oh, and the food is very good as well. We recommend the Porterhouse Steak for 2. Great find, give it a shot!

My partner and I booked a one night stay at Amadwala for my bday weekend. And OH MY!!! wha an amazing experience it was. From the moment we drove in we were just impressed. As we walked in through the reception we were welcomed by the lovely George and the manager Hank.. These two gentlemen made our stay worth while, to a point that we went to fetch our son and we stayed for another night.. The breakfast was out of this world...I just wish I stayed the whole week a Amadwala.

For our anniversary, my husband and I stayed at Amadwala Lodge last weekend. 1. I reserved the safari tent because it was my first experience in a safari tent, and I must say it was fantastic. The tend was spotless, well-equipped, and more than I anticipated, the beds were extremely cozy, and the electric blanket was helpful on a chilly and stormy Friday night. The only thing is that the tents are too near to each other, preventing one from hearing everything that happens next door, and the large, comfy bed has two 34 blanket covers, which is a little awkward, especially if you are booked as a pair. On Saturday night, a large dog was on the property that sounded bitter and kept us up almost the entire night. Nevertheless, I totally enjoyed the bush experience, and that there is no to it, and the little details of the tent made it a restful, solitary retreat, and it felt like a sweet escape. For those who cannot live off the internet, there is excellent wifi in the rooms and the region surrounding the lodge. Basil and pho were friendly and helpful when we arrived at the front desk. It was wonderful that one of the waitress was also extremely amiable and helpful. How can one forget that David, our weekend bartender, was so courteous and supportive. This place was wonderful and will come back there. We got this gem by chance. And what a find. Amazing staff, clean and comfortable safari tent, delicious food, and complete peace and quiet. There isn't a better place to relax and unwind. Loved the bird life. The only suggestion I can make is to place a coffee station in the tent.

We felt incredibly fortunate to have been given such a wonderful stay. Thank you so much, David and Basil. Ayadwala Lodge did not let us down while my husband and I needed a break from life. Basil and David were warm and considerate from the minute we arrived. Every patient received a unique massage. We were then given a table in our room with a fire erupted. The three-course cuisine was absolutely delicious.

When was the last time I could talk about the food after a restaurant stay because it was such a great experience that I was hoping to have it the next day and then the next day? We got the best, most exciting, and tasty Charbonnade I can remember from the Amadwala restaurant in Rotterdam. Fresh tuna, salmon, ostrich, pork fillet, chicken, berries, mushrooms, spanish olives, and capers in the most amazing sauces. We are Swiss and charbonnade is one of our national dishes, and I couldn't be happier, and my wife, who I never saw digging in like this before, couldn't be happier! We chose the recommended wine, morgenstern sangiovese, which is an Italian style red wine, to perfectly round out the most wonderful meal experience! Truly speaking, my words can't describe the food!

It's a very beautiful and tranquil place, beautiful and clean chalets with a private outdoor area that is big enough, custom furniture, very friendly staff. I must say their food is average, they need to improve especially the breakfast it's a bit dry and limited but everything about this place is perfect especial if you want to rest away from home and not be active because activities around this place are like 2030 minutes away which is not a distance for us to drive to the locations with amenities.

The tents were in good condition the beds were super comfy and it was suitable for our stay.. a small fridge in the room would be good and a tea and coffee station would also be appreciated. In one of the tents the duvet had been burnt which made the sleep a little uncomfortable but on a whole we were super happy.. the staff were all super friendly and helpful.

Wenn man von der Zufahrt absieht, waren wir überrascht über die gesamte Anlage. Sie ist aufgelockert und kein Nachbar stört. Die Chalets sind sehr geräumig und mit einer großen Terrasse. Das einzige Manko ist das Licht im Zimmer, etwas dunkel. Das Restaurant hat eine sehr gute Qualität und das Personal ist sehr, sehr hilfsbereit. Wir würden dort jederzeit wieder unser Quartier aufschlagen. Es ist keine 5-Sterne Lodge, keine Übertreibung in der Ausstattung und Service, aber ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

In summer I can imagine it's nice to stay in one of the tent rooms, but it's quite cold in the winter. The dam was also empty, would have made for a nice atmosphere if the dam was full and one had a bit of a view at least. Breakfast was good, and the Manager, Lucky, was very helpful and friendly.

we checked in at 14:00 and checked out of both rooms at 18:00 due to the fact that they had no power and no water available. we had a baby to take care of and could not risk it.
