The service was great. I only stayed 1 night as it was for business and I was not able to eat breakfast as I had to leave before 7am. The lady made sure that I had a packed breakfast to go. The only thing about the room that is a negative is that I stayed in the Serenity room and I could hear my fellow guests use the microwave and cupboard doors as the walls are a bit thin or if it was because of the ventilation in the walls that makes the noise travel.

Where to start! Received a Super friendly welcome on arrival. The accommodation is fantastic. My room was everything I could have wanted and more-one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept on. So incredibly grateful for the generator which kicked in the second the load shedding started. Breakfast was also fantastic. The area is safe to walk around which is rare in SA and there are a few decent places to eat just a 5 min walk away. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This up-market guest house is well positioned in a quiet suburban area, but is within walking distance to a large supermarket where pre-prepared food may be purchased, two good restaurants and a fast food outlet. There are in the region of twelve rooms, of which three are on the first floor.There is ample parking for the guests in demarcated bays. The breakfast was very good and plentiful and there was a good selection of different items. The room my wife and I occupied was well appointed and in addition to the double bed, had a couch and coffee table. From a catering point of view there was a kettle, fridge and small microwave as well as crockery and cutlery. Tea and coffee were supplied and replenished in the morning.The host was extremely friendly and was willing and able to provide bits of information regarding the area and facilities in and around East London.

A great home away from home, excellent service, very friendly staff, nothing was too much effort. I would definitely recommend Arum House, as the best in East London. Well done to the owners who managed to create a professional, yet friendly home.

The price is worth it with the location, it is located near the beach with all the amenities. All the facilities here are provided by the staff, this hotel is a must-go place to stay.

The room was great and the service was great. The location is in the village of Saadiqpur. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was nicely decorated. I especially liked the bar fridge in the closet. We have many more amenities but we didn't understand anything about it at all.

It is in a quiet area but easily accessible. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth. They serve a wonderful breakfast and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Value for money. I would definitely recommend this place.
