I stayed here for 2 weeks in October 2010. The rooms are very small. There is a nightclub under the hotel and the techno music usually goes on until dawn. So sleeping was very difficult. The hotel is very small and you can hear everything in the hallway. Aurora was awesome, she is a very sweet lady and makes you feel right at home. The location of the hotel was ideal. Right by Spanish steps, Piazza noona, and the Vatican.

My wife and I had reserved the Hotel Aura in Rome, but when we got there, we were told there was no room available, even though we had already made a reservation and paid through Travel Republic. The nice woman there replied, "no problem, you can stay at the Hotel Marcus and we will pay for a taxi!" The hotel Marcus had nothing really amazing about it. Wait, the bed was a bit comfy, but the sound from the nearby disco was unbearable, making it hard to sleep there. The ensure room was small, and although breakfast was provided, it was simply inadequate. The spanish steps and metro are around a 15-minute walk away, and the Pantheon and the Vatican are the same distance. Over the past 30 or so years, we have stayed in Rome numerous times, but this is not a hotel we would return to.

The location of this hotel is closer to the subway, despite the fact that they said it's more than 300 I from it. The rest is wonderful, spotless, and in a great location. Enjoy your visit to Rome.
