After cycling in the cold for an hour we came to this finch in a small village in the mountains. Seeking to get warm we were greeted by baudillo and his wife, given blankets and treated to wine and olives. Baudillo told us some great stories and was gracious and welcoming even though we werent guests. I am grateful to him and his wife for providing us with a safe place to rest and making us feel at home. Next time in tenderize will definitely book a room.

The room is very large with a refrigerator and two ring hob, the property is attractive. The village is small one bar one shop. The staff are very friendly, some spanish will help. Walking in the ten national parks is great very quiet when we visited in April, and trails start right at the end of the drive. The road down to Los Silos is fun not for the faint of heart, but the main road is ok. The trails are steep vistas fantastic. If it rains and it is cold, the rooms will feel damp, we had heaters and a dehumidifier provided and did use them. Breakfast is ok, standard buffet, evening meals are a bit basic, i suggest be but there is not much else on hand for an evening meal. Probably the best for a short stay 34 days. The internet was good.

This is an enchanting rural hotel with very courteous and welcoming hosts. The apartment was charming, spacious, and tidy, with comfy mattresses. There was only basic cooking food and a standard fridge. The village is small and the local pub is ok but a little limited, so if you want bling or nightlife, this is not for you. The view from the valley down to the sea is lovely, and the whole experience is clean and fresh. This is excellent coastal country, and the official footpath starts right at the gate, and there are many excellent routes within easy driving distance. A small natural pool at Los Sillos close to a large municipal pool, perfect for swimming and snorkeling, and there are many fish. Our room was neither cold nor damp, but it had a slight musty odor upon arrival, I believe, due to the absence of a window or fixed ventilation in the bathroom. It went quickly. This hotel should not be judged by the standards of large beachside, swimming pool hotels. It has a different offer, and if it is for you, like us, you will want to come back.

About Finca la Hacienda Rural Hotel

This countryside hotel is located in Tierra del Trigo, in the municipal region of Los Silos. The town of Los Silos is about 1.5 km from the hotel, and the beach is 2.5 km away. Tenerife South Airport and Tenerife North Airport are some 66 km and 64 km away, respectively. This hotel is a part of the La Hacienda estate, and it was constructed in the 19th century. Renovated in 2008, it consists of 9 apartments, a reception desk, a restaurant, an outdoor barbecue area, a solarium, several terraces and a car park. The apartments are decorated in traditional Canarian style, in an attempt to conserve the spirit of the location. They feature a bathroom with hydro-massage shower and bathtub and an integrated lounge/kitchen with refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities, as well as satellite TV and a terrace.
