Honey Badger Lodge has a wilderness safari lodge feel. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. The staff was attentive and friendly. The pool is well maintained and I enjoyed swimming and sunning by the pool. I would definitely stay at Honey Badger again.

The Honey Badger was above and beyond our expectations. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. Chef Kristin’s food was amazing and we did not have a bad meal our entire trip. We booked the Chemka Hotsprings through the honey Badger and it was a great day trip! We also did the cooking lessons and can now make traditional dishes for our family when we go home. Everything was wonderful. I would highly recommend the honey Badger for anyone visiting Moshi or needing a place to stay before/after hiking Kili!

We were staying in Moshi as part of a volunteer trip and had been to Honey Badger before for drinks and swimming, but never to stay overnight. We decided to book a room on Hotels.com for a Saturday and loved our stay. The staff there is friendly, professional and accommodating. They are there to make sure you have a comfortable stay. We had lunch and dinner there, too, and the food is lovely, as well. The room was spacious and comfortable. Quiet! The grounds are impressive. Well kept. Relaxing. We will definitely be back as day guests and as hotel guests, too!

This is a great place to stay with excellent facilities including a very nice swimming pool and good restaurant. The income of the Honey Badger Lodge is beneficial to the education of local children in the community. This lodge can organize all kind of activities. We visited a chagga village, waterfall and coffee plantation.

Het hotel ligt 7 km buiten Moshi, dus je moet altijd een taxi of tuktuk nemen. Het hotel is prachtig met een mooi zwembad en een mooie tuin waarin de huisjes staan.

Pasamos unos días de descanso después del safari. Lugar tranquilo a las afueras de Moshi, necesitas taxi para ir a la cuidad pero con unos 4 dólares lo haces. Vistas al Killimanjaro. Una espaciosas zonas comunes con piscina. Los exteriores bastante bien cuidados pero a las habitaciones les vendría bien una reforma. En cualquier caso, si tuviese que hacerlo, volvería a alojarme ahi

We stayed here two nights before heading on Safari. The hotel is great and you can tell there is a lot of attention to detail in ensuring this business has a positive social impact (They sponsor a school, rely on solar energy, etc.) The hotel has great common spaces and a fantastic swimming pool and bar. Be aware that it is a bit away from Moshi, so not ideal if you want to explore the city or do some shopping.

My partner and I were really looking for an escape for the evening from busy Moshi to celebrate our anniversary. It was perfect for this! The grounds of the place are gorgeous - leafy, quiet and the pool is fantastic. The rooms are bright and large, and the shower had wonderful hot water. We loved the food, too! There were a couple of minor downsides..the wifi doesn't extend to the rooms, and that at night, there was just rugby playing, and no music to enjoy. The dining area could also use a little more light to eat dinner under :).

We came here already the second time for one week. It is a marvellous place to relax (also often used after climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro). The pool is clear and big enough to swim but also ideal for children. The site is well arranged with palms and bananaplants. You never feel cramped. Also the rooms are spacious. The staff is very kind, the breakfast is great. Worth its price!

Not only is it a Unique place regarding its design, friendliness, personal touch owner - also literally - and great staff. It makes you feel so welcome and at home that you simple dont want to leave;). And they are able to arrange you the best safari's and trip to the Kilimanjaro there are! We booked one night, booked and additional 2 nights. Went on the safari they arranged perfectly and just came for more;; So very warm recommanded;;

Meine erwachsene Tochter und ich haben 4 Tage im November im Honey Badger verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Team ist aufmerksam, sehr freundlich und zurückhaltend, das Gelände sehr schön. Man kann vom Liegestuhl am gut gepflegten kleinen Pool aus Meerkatzen beim Turnen in den Bäumen zuschauen, oder auf dem Weg zur eigenen Schlafhütte den Schildkröten beim Umherspazieren oder Fressen. Direkt angrenzend gibt es eine kleine Vorschule/Kindergarten, wir haben von unserer Hütte aus die Kleinen hören können beim gemeinsamen Singen und auch einen interessanten Besuch dort machen können. Das Hotel organisiert für wirklich jeden Geldbeutel Unternehmungen- wir haben mit kleinem Budget eine Tagestour mit Guide und Fahrer unternommen zu den Chagga-Höhlen und dem Wasserfall, die uns sehr beeindruckte. Sehr angenehm auch die nicht verkaufsorientierte Beratung des Honey Badger. So wollten wir gerne mit dem Dalla-Dalla in die Stadt (Moshi) fahren und wurden prima informiert, wie das funktioniert - ohne den Versuch, uns zu einem dem Hotel angeschlossenen Fahrer zu überreden, so dass dieser erste eigene Ausflug problemlos gelang. Moshi im November bedeutete, deutlich erkennbar als fast einzige Europäerinnen in dieser geschäftigen Kleinstadt unterwegs zu sein- eine sehr interessante Erfahrung für uns Afrika-Einsteigerinnen. Schön, dass dies hier - anders als an vielen anderen Orten - so einfach möglich ist, sich in den Alltagstrubel zu mischen, umherzuspazieren, Essen zu gehen....

The Honey Badger was an awesome break from the volunteer work I do in Arusha as a volunteer college instructor and curriculum developer. Very quiet and peaceful, beautiful grounds, reasonable price, caring staff and terrific food -- Tam sana! Just there for a night while in Moshi, wished I could have stayed longer.

We relaxed at the Honey Badger to recuperate from our climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro for a few days. We were warmly greeted and made to feel comfortable and at home at once. Our room was much bigger than expected..... and the pool and grounds were immaculately kept. The staff were genuinely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Every meal was really tasty and sometimes big enough to share with someone. The owner Joseph, took time to talk to us, show us owls that we would never have seen on our own,..and answered all our questions. What we found most satisfying is that the lodge gives back to the community, such as the school they run for small kids. We were fortunate to visit it briefly to drop off some school supplies that we had brought with us. The exuberant children there sang us such a loud welcome song that we could only smile form ear to ear. I would absolutely recommend this Lodge to anyone who needs a few days of quiet. Room Tip: I would suggest taking a room that is in the area where the swimming pool and bar are.

En mycket trevlig vistelse tack vare mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående personal på både lodgen och Milestone, utflykts- och safariarrangören som är en del av verksamheten. Vi gjorde en utflykt som bland annat tog oss till ett vattenfall. Lite besvärligt att gå stigen till och från fallets fot men ett svalkande dopp var belöningen för att ta sig ner men behovet av en svalkande dusch var lika stort när man tagit sig upp igen.
