This hotel has the potential to be a lovely experience, but due to years of neglect, the place feels unkempt. Elevator is out of order, and there is no bell boy to assist. This resort is very large and requires a lot of walking and stairs, which is inconvenient with luggage. Litter was not cleaned. The same garbage stayed for days at the bottom of the stairwell. The floors are clearly not swept often, and cleaned even less. The pool was alright, but about half of it has stagnant water which is also not cleaned of debris. The fountain in the pool area is also out of order, and the swim up bar is not in order and is actually crumbling. Room service is also lacking. We had to ask for fresh towels and coffee cups, as these were not provided upon room ‘cleaning’. Our door to our room was somewhat broken, as the latch didn’t function. It had to be locked to close. Our bathroom door simply didn’t close at all, so hopefully if you’re staying here you are VERY close with your roommate. Staff were also generally unfriendly and unhelpful, but did the bare minimum. Overall, we were displeased with our stay given the price, but the location is good. Hotel should consider employing staff to care for the surrounding area as well, as there is garbage everywhere.

Our stay at Ayodhaya was not very pleasant. I will say the location is great as it’s very close to Ao Nang beach, the night market, and a lot of great food. However, the hotel itself is very outdated and not one I would recommend to travellers. Our room was quite a walk from the concierge and there were no working elevators. So when we had to check in and check out with our luggage, it was very hard to do with so many suitcases. Our AC was also not working and when we called to have it be fixed, they just asked us to wait a few minutes for it to cool down. They sent an engineer apparently when we were out, however, it did not fix anything. During the evening, when the lights were on in the hallways, there were a significant amount of moths surrounding it since the hallway is basically a long balcony. It was quite unpleasant and scary to walk through. As well, we saw lizards all day in the halls and even saw some sneak into some rooms. As someone that doesn’t deal well with creatures, this was a very uncomfortable experience. The handle on our door was also super shaky and felt like it would break every time we locked or unlocked our door. Overall, the stay was quite dissapointing.

Der var små dyr på sengen under madrassen. Vi fik et nyt værelse efter klage. Derudover er rengøring virkelig dårligt. Ingen wifi på værelserne. Toilet på fællesområde er noget af det værste og swimmingpool området er forfalden.

Greit rom, ingen vasking. De e resepsjonen kan minimalt med engelsk og var lite behjelpelig angående spørsmål og henvendelser. Ville ikke anbefalt dette. Veldig dyrt også i forhold til hva man får. Bildene som er vist viser hotellet for kanskje 20 år siden. Det er ganske falleferdig og har hatt minimalt med vedlikehold.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. This is a total scam and fraud. This hotel deserves 0/10. Pls check Google reviews. Pictures shown are heavily edited or taken 30 years ago. The current state of hotel is old and dirty. Poorly maintained hotel. Can’t believe I paid USD140 per night (the room is worth USD30 per night based on my experience). Firstly, there are no luggage storage area so guests’ luggage are left all around lobby without tagging by staff and was left unattended. We checked in at 3pm but was told room was not ready, had to come back in another hour. Went back at 5pm. Key (yes, manual key) and key card (for electricity) are attached with a ring that is tied together sealed (unable to remove), the staff had difficulty removing the key from the lock to insert the card for electricity for the room - the key and lock was also rusty Drinks and food in the fridge will get spoilt once you leave the room because you need to remove the key card to lock the door manually. Furnitures in room are old. Side of fridge has moulds. Metal chairs at balcony are rusty - no cushions or table provided as advertised. The rusty metal chairs are a hazard for tetanus if get scratched. Bed is hard. No hot shower. No toiletries. No wifi at all (no wifi at balcony eventhough they claimed wifi available at balcony) Pool was poorly maintained, walls look dirty and greenish. Pool deck chairs and tables are old and dirty, rusty. Left the hotel immediately after seeing the room. Disgusted much.
