We loved our stay at the Place. Our view is the ocean was breathtaking. The sunsets were perfect. Our room was very clean and private. The only thing we found annoying was that our AC unit kept turning off on its own. We’d return from town and our room would be too hot to sit in comfortably. We’d end up just jumping in the pool until the unit cooled the room down again. This would happen in the middle of the night, too. Emily was great! She even scheduled to have someone pick us up from the ferry and drop us off. Cannot speak highly enough of how seamless they made our stay. We would stay here again.

THIS WAS OUR FAVORITE STAY OF OUR MONTH LONG HONEYMOON! Everything was so wonderful! We were so sad to leave our little oasis in the jungle. Our hosts were wonderful and greeted us upon arrival! The pool was the highlight of our stay and we spent all of our time in it! The views of the ocean, sunsets, sunrises were unbelievable! The walk to town is easy, but the walk back up is NO JOKE. We had our meals easily delivered every day and were able to make trips to town for any other needs. The shower is INCREDIBLE! We cannot wait to come back and visit. Thank you so much for an incredible time in Thailand!

A fantastic place to stay on Koh Tao. The location is perfect - a 10 minute walk to the bustle of Sairee Beach so you get the perfect blend of access to restaurants and nightlife but a peaceful escape for quiet evenings and relaxed mornings. The private pool with view is unbeatable. Emily and co are brilliant, they made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and were so helpful - from moped rental to taking our laundry to be done - it made the trip another level of special. The one thing to bear in mind is that you’re in the jungle, there is wildlife. We had a (large) friendly gecko in our villa (we named him Greg) - completely harmless and mostly stayed on the ceiling but, being nocturnal, he was very noisy at night so would recommend earplugs if you’re the type of person to be disturbed by that.

Had a great few day stay at The Place Luxury Boutique Villas. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Guy and his wife are very informative with things to do. It is very quiet where the villas are located and to walk into 'town' is about a 10-15 min walk. The walk back is a bit more difficult as the villas are up on the hill but there are cabs which will always pick you up or take you back to the hotel. All in all a very nice stay.

We had an amazing stay at The Place. It was truly home from home. We were picked up at the ferry terminal and when we left dropped off, we were really well looked after. The villa was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a really informative induction to the facility. The views are stunning, the best sunsets. The pool was clean, we often didn’t leave the site, we were there for 11 days and I could’ve stayed much longer. Trips were organised for us. The walk into town was about 10 minutes, and you are out of the noise but still within walking distance. I felt quite emotional leaving it was just wonderful. The bed was so comfortable and the housekeeping exceptional. We had just the right amount of privacy. Keep doing what you do, just perfect.

We LOVED staying here at The Place. It was so nice and relaxing that it was difficult to leave the villa to explore Koh Tao. So many great options to order in from local restaurants and also had walkability to beach and local shops. This place is perfect for a couple wanting to relax and retreat but also want to explore the beautiful island of Koh Tao. The pool view was magical. They gave us such great restaurant recommendations and made us feel so comfortable to reach out with any questions. The only thing to note is that it does has several steep steps to access the villas. 10/10 and will likely stay here again when we visit next time! Thank you guys!

This stay was a dream. All the villas have private pools and kitchens. The bed was superb and the villa fantastic. You have a great degree of privacy and cannot see into the other villas. The owner Guy was very nice, great communication and arranged ferry tickets, snorkeling tour, and motor scooter all payable at the end of the stay. Highly recommend this place!

Stunning, peaceful location with incredible views. The host was friendly and helpful—he arranged a great fishing trip with a local and shared his WhatsApp for anything we needed. He also arranged to pick us up from the pier on arrival. One thing we wished we knew prior to booking is to be aware that wildlife is part of the experience. Expect large and small geckos (and droppings), ants, millipedes etc inside the villa. Our only major issue was upon checkout when we had requested the return transfer at 6:15 for our 7am ferry, however the driver didn’t show up and we nearly missed our ferry (host later said the driver was unwell). Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay and we really appreciated the island’s rich wildlife—but given the price, we had expected a bit less of it inside the villa and not as outdated.

This property is amazing, and they have thought of almost everything. I wish in the pictures or description they had included how steep and inaccessible the rooms were if you have any issues climbing. The stairs are very tall and steep and mostly no railings. I had to leave after the first day because I could not get in and out of my room. Please be aware this is only for very fit people. I would never have booked this had I any idea. I paid for four nights and could only stay one, it was beyond disappointing. I am an experienced traveler and watch carefully for these issues and there was no photos or warning about this site.

The villa and it's privacy was very nice. The own pool was great and views from the terrace to the sea and the mountains were fabulous. The owner, Guy, was very helpfull. You can drink filtered water from the separate tap, which is a good idea for nature, but might not be possible if you have a sensitive stomach. Food deliveries from the chosen restaurants worked well. Special thanks to the Mr. Bear Taxi service which worked extremely well any time (including New Years Eve)!
