Thoroughly enjoyed our stay only downside is that we wished it was longer! Martin was very friendly and a great host. Made a fantastic breakfast with lovely views of the garden. We will certainly be returning!

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived the Lakeside Guest House (after some communication on arrival times, which they were very open to). The house is only a short walk to the centre or nature reserve but in a peaceful area. Our room was spacious and clean, as was the private bathroom. We had a lovely cooked breakfast and were given recommendations on where to visit in the local area for dinner and for local attractions (both of which were excellent). We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Hemos estado muy a gusto durante 3 dias. Muy buena ubicacion a 10 minutos andando del centro y para hacer excursiones por el famoso Coast Path. Un dia fuimos a Abbotsbury (8miles, 3,5horas), y el segundo dia vinimos de Lulwoth Cove a Weymourh. (11 miles, 5 horas). Martin nos ha atendido muy bien, y hemos estado como en casa. Los desayunos un 10. Gracias. Sin duda repetiremos si volvemos por Weymouth.

Martin is great, met us at the door and took our bags and made us feel at home whilst he showed us around the house. Great selection of breakfast and plenty of coffee. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Great place to stay to visit the Local RSPB reserves. Radipole Lake (5-minute walk!) Lodimore 15-minute drive, Arne just under an hour. Lots of time for us to talk and put the world to rights over breakfast and tell stories of our holidays around the world and exchange information about the birdlife in his garden.

A great little seaside town. Was travelling to meet up with some friends from overseas and we decided to meet in Weymouth. There was a lovely festival going on, the beach was close by and heaps of other things to do a short drive away. Martin who owns the guesthouse was lovely and accommodating from the very beginning making contact to ensure I was on track etc (I had a delayed train). Everything from my room to the bathroom to the kitchen was clean and comfy, it was definitely a home rather than a house which made it all the more pleasant to stay. I even got the recipe to the bread that was freshly baked for our breakfast! Recommended for solo travellers, couples or families.
