Fin liten stad med sevärdheter, pubar och restauranger runt knuten. Frukost kunde köpas som tillval på hotellet bredvid men den var inte prisvärd ej heller bra service. Boende i ”det stora hotellet” hade en egen meny att välja på.

Spotless, comfortable room, friendly staff. Plenty of tea/coffee available in the residents’ lounge. Central location. Bit of noise in the evening from patrons of a nearby pub but can’t fault the Station House itself. Thank you 😊

The Station House was in many ways ideal. The room was roomy and well furnished, the access to the extra communal room where we could sit and make tea and coffee and keep fresh milk and food in a fridge was excellent. Two small things let it down. The reception was across the road in the associated hotel. Once in the hotel the notice said the reception was upstairs but there was no obvious reception desk up there. I looked around and went in to the bar and no one was behind the bar. It turned out that the receptionist was the person sitting at a table while working on a computer. The other minor problem was with the stairs. We are both in our late seventies and, although we managed the main flight of stairs thanks to the hand rail, my wife found the final short flight of steps up to room 4 was a challenge as there was no hand rail.

Clean and modern hotel with nice rooms and dining area. Could do with a suitcase stand and soap dish in the shower. Helpful and friendly staff at the parent hotel Town House, which also does excellent breakfast at extra cost. Good value budget hotel in town centre. Parking available next to hotel.

Nice hotel, quite central. I just booked the room and was off walking quite early in the morning. Room 6, directly opposite the local pub and the main road so only quiet after about 2330. Few restaurants and cafe's near by as well as the foodstation for a bacon roll, opened at 7am. I would request a quieter room in the booking, I dont recommend getting room 6 or 7 if you're a light sleeper

Good location/price but the bathroom needs attention: very slippery shower tray with no mat option and nowhere to put anything. Hot drinks available in communal area but its temperature was so low (at most 5°C) that you couldn't sit there and the china cups chilled the drink! Can't comment on breakfast because I had to leave by 7.15 but express checkout was painless.
