Rien de luxueux, mais charmante cabane. C'était assez humide malgré la chaleur de la journée, mais il y a un foyer à disposition. Prévoyez faire l'épicerie au village de la côte avant de monter au canyon.

Listen, if you are outdoorsy and enjoy the idea of a rustic mountain cabin with a wood stove and great trails, then this is perfect. If you prefer a beach, then this ain't for you. Bundle up and enjoy, it is what it is!

Great place to get off the grid and enjoy some amazing hiking. Lodge was a great warm-up after a day of hiking.

Spent 2 night in the large 2-bedroom cabin. If you are looking for luxury - look elsewhere. If you want a rustic cabin in the center of a great wilderness area, this is for you. Basic and somewhat worn but clean, functional, spacious and affordable accommodation. You are on your own here, but for us it was perfect.

These are prefect if you want to spend a couple of days around the Waimea Canyon or hiking in the Kokee State Park. The management is working to get all units painted inside. I saw someone power washing one while we were there. They have kitchens with pots pans dishes but you need to bring a lighter (for the wood stove) and any seasoning if you plan to cook. We really enjoyed our stay.

3 nights - very good. Very Quiet. Large and roomy with plenty of linen, towels and they even supply the firewood each day that one might need or want to use. Was expecting an older cabin with no frills, etc. This is what it is but it was perhaps a bit older than I expected. The kitchen really needs to be repainted and 'cleaned' up. It looks very uninviting and like it might be very dirty although it was in fact very clean and well stocked. Paint job and rust removal would go a LONG way. The stove knobs need attention as well.

The cabins are rustic, but comfortable and clean (mostly). The location can't be beat for accesability to the area's hiking trails etc.

We are campers, the cabin was like going to camp. Management is in process of renovating and completed cabins looked really nice. Ours was not yet renovated, and need work badly. That said, I would stay again in a flash. Bed was clean, there was bathroom and kitchen and a whole outdoors to enjoy. That was my purpose for staying here.

Understand this is a state Park cabin and it is going to be rugged, but in a very beautiful location. The hiking trails are amazing and the drive to the cabin was incredible. It is a 30 min drive up the mountain. We stayed for days and drove up that mountain over 6 times....it never got old. The cabin itself was a little rugged and could use a little renovation, but we loved it. The price is awesome for the location.

Since we werenʻt expecting a resort hotel it seemed more than adequate. It was clean enough, no bugs, the kitchen was modestly equipped (but no leftover food supplies--bring salt). The mattress was uncomfortable but linens and blankets were fine. The shower was hot and the fire stove worked well with the wood provided. The front door had to be manually unlocked even after being opened so we soon locked ourselves out and had to get back in through a window. Fortunately we were raised around chickens and they didnʻt bother us. Scenery and canyon outlooks are awesome. Desk staff back in Waimea were extremely helpful.

This is a great place to stay if you want to hike in Koke'e State Park or Weimea Canyon. The cabins haven't been kept up very well, but they are in a great location (walking distance to Koke'e Lodge and Museum) and at decently priced. I stayed with my husband and grown son for three nights - we built a fire in the wood stove (bought two bundles of wood for $14/bundle) that warmed the entire cabin. The electric stove had knobs that were partially melted, but the stove worked fine. The bathroom was clean and the water was good and hot!

Cheapest units were very uncomfortable. Hard beds, wood burning stoves but no wood, broken window panes. We upgraded to a more expensive and much more comfortable room.

No wood provided for wood burning stove. Should have provided electric space heaters. Baseboards were dirty. The entire place needed painting (which was planned). Corkscrew (cheap) broke. Pots and pans were in poor shape, but functional. Bed, shower, and bathroom were fine.

Expect a cleaning fee tacked on, run down cottages. Locals create block parties on weekends without any controls or consideration for the other visitors. Manager scheduled insecticide treatement while there without telling us. Hawked firewood which we didn't need and what we bought was wet. A big disappointment.

The mattress was so terrible that our backs are still recovering 3days later. There was a wood stove that didn't heat the bedroom at all. A better mattress and a space heater would have saved it
