Food is very boring and pricey. We have to wait for pizza longer because they are so friendly.

We recently returned from a second stay at the Shelter Bay Marina Hotel, and we wanted to appreciate the gracious manager and employees of this hotel and restaurant. You make a huge difference by making your hotel a home away from just another big chain standard experience! With only a few first-floor room overlooking the harbor, we adore the unique, isolated setting. Some commentators suggest that these rooms might use some new paint. Yes, but then, they are clean, well-equipped with amenities, and most importantly, with silent air conditioning. Fort San Lorenzo and colon are only 10 minutes away, and you have the opportunity to go to a little quiet paradise with a pool. Children will undoubtedly be welcome. Thanks again, Michael, Klaus, and son.

The marina restaurant is a nice place to sit and eat. The staff is wonderful and all the staff speaks English. I've eaten there 5 or 6 times since 2015 and it keeps getting better. Sonia and other staff members are very nice. Eddie the marina staff member was also very helpful and friendly.

The only issue was the amount of plastic washed up on the shore. The water was crystal clear and so clean. We stayed here to discover Fort Sherman and nearby beaches. The marina is beautiful. Most of the residents here are on boats, and the road that comes there is unreliable, so you have to take a step back to avoid the numerous potholes. The hotel was clean, but not immaculate. There was mildew in the shower, and a window wouldn't close fully. The pool was excellent. The eatery and bar were equally wonderful. A small shop is also available to purchase the essentials. The beaches nearby were absolutely breathtaking.
