I was in Kona on a work trip. The hotels in area were way over the U.S. government’s lodging per diem rate. Kona Bali Kai was a very great and affordable option for me. I will definitely be staying there in the future for work again and for vacation in the future as well.

Loved the hooks in the kitchen and bathroom, the bathroom basin, shower pressure, kitchen, Keurig coffeemaker. We especially love the comfortable king size bed. Thumbs up. I would return.

Don’t let the exterior look of the property fool you. Once inside the condo you’re home! Comfortable and spacious. The view from our condo was simply stunning!

Great location, nice pool. Just by the sea, splendid spot for watching sunset. The unit is a bit on the older side, some aspect would need a bit of love. We left a list on the countertop for them to fix. A/C is enough for the kitchen and living room area but not for the bedroom which was very warm. It is well equipped. The bedding is sufficient for a family of four but only two counter stools for dinner. Overall, we were ok with the rental but I feel the price was a bit steep for what we got.

The location was great, but the parking was not adequate because you could only park in unreserved stalls, which were limited. And there were days that we returned to our room but there were not unreserved stalls available to park in. The parking didn't accommodate us on some days throughout our stay.

Everything was great we got to check in ourselves we came early and they let us check in early. The service when we had a problem was answered fast through the app. The Kona Bali staff was also very pleasant and very diligent. The only thing was the washer and the ac weren’t working and that would have helped a lot, but they had a laundry room for residents that we were able to use but it did cost money.. keep change on hand or use the app they have which totally saved us. The pool and jacuzzi were great. The apartment was fully stocked with what we needed and if we didn’t have something the store and market near by was convenient. The couch bed was rough but my mom tough it out. A new mattress would help a lot. The main bedroom and pillows were great. Because we were right by the beach some amenities would have been great. But other than that it was perfect for 3-4 people.

Over all the experience was not bad, we enjoyed being on the 4th floor however there was no mention of the flights of stairs and lack of elevator access in the listing. So it could have been bad situation. Also the washing machine leaked water all over the floor! The maintenance crew responded quickly however, they were told it was because we did to big of a load by the owner (which was not the case) also the condo does have 1 ac unit in the living area- however there is no air flow into the bedroom and it gets warm and stuffy in there very quickly.
