I’m reluctant to rate this property as high as I am out of fear that people will find it and take bookings away from me in the future. The property, location and amenities were great. The tavern was spectacular with live music every night. Staff were also attentive and helpful. Will definitely return!

We spent a week with family, the rooms are clean and had a lot of fun at the lake. The taproom onsite is very good too. Definitely will come back when visiting VT.

Great place if you like a lake. We have been coming every summer for ten years. Near by towns have nice restaurants and shopping too. Beautiful pool on the property, canoes, kayak. They also have a pontoon boat that you pay $25 an hour and get chauffeured around. We do it every year it's a beautiful boat tour. There is also a good restaurants on the propery for dinner. The only complaint I have is what you are charged for the continental breakfast which consist of not much unless you like cereal that kids usually like, not a good variety of pastries (not even a variety) boiled eggs, one kind of oatmeal and a few varieties of granola bars. The staff is very friendly too.

What a delightful little gem of a place! The lake is lovely, the rooms are clean, the food at the lodge is good, and they even have a pickleball court. I wish we could stay another day.

We stayed at the Maple Cottage and enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake. My family and pup had a great stay, and the staff was very helpful. We’d be happy to come back!

Perfect stay for my toddler and older guests - accessible and pleasant staff. Great view and fun activities! Only wish there were to-go boxes for the breakfast - it gets a little hard to bring cereal and milk down the hill to the lodge. The floors could be cleaned a little more carefully - there was some dust and dirt - especially near the beds. Other than that - it was one of the most positive experiences my family has had when traveling. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed the lake view and how peaceful and placid the surroundings. My kids enjoyed the kayak/canoe and the fire pit. The continental breakfast grab and go is good. We like that the unit has everything we need. We were able to cook since there’s not many restaurants in the area. The property has the restaurant but we can’t be going to the same place all the time. There was one night that we have to drive for 20 minutes to have dinner. Overall, it was a very good place to stay and relax.

Our family loves this place and its the only place we will go when we visit our College student at Castleton. It is very close to the college and the tavern that is on the property is friendly with good food and reasonably priced. Our rooms are always spotless and if you need something - their service is outstanding and quick. The lake is gorgeous - such a peaceful and beautiful spot. When she graduates we will still go back!!
