Although there was work/remodeling in the area, the manager was quite helpful and asked for my cell# to call me as soon as he could check me in, which he did. Located near the waterfront and a restaurant right on the premises, which had excellent food. Was a clean, spacious room. It is an easy walk (15-20 min) to the town area and stores. I would love to stay there again!

Bring binoculars. This place offers so much and is an easy walk to most of the main sites. The restaurant was great to have on location. But we found that if there are binoculars around for guests...they disappear. That's about it. And a rain jacket.

Excellent accommodations- beautiful water and mountain view. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The Galley restaurant was delicious. Perfect location that is far enough away from downtown business, yet close enough to walk to. Longliner is peaceful, quiet and a home away from home.

It was tough to park because of the mounds of snow, but the owner did his best. I felt safe and secure in my room and parking lot. The restaurant food was good but I didn’t appreciate one well-dressed young folx table that got very drunk, yelled and screamed their excitement and disagreements about people, and carried on for over 30 minutes with no intervention by management or wait staff to lower their voices so the rest of us could eat with getting headaches. I actually didn’t even finish my meal because they were so loud. One of the waiters found them amusing. I didn’t go back for dinner. Management was extraordinary and I appreciated their efforts for comfort and local information.

Everything about our stay at Longliner was excellent! Beginning with a warm greeting at the airport for our shuttle to the hotel. The check in process was quick. The host provided excellent service and information. Our room was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds and bedding. The large windows provided a great view of our gorgeous surroundings. The mini fridge and Keurig (stocked with KCups, sugar, and creamers) were much appreciated. We wound up renting a car for a portion of our stay and parking was convenient. Our host was always available for questions and didn’t even complain about having to shuttle us back to the airport in the wee hours. I fell in love with Sitka and will definitely stay at the Longliner when I return.

The property offers sizeable rooms, has an on site dining option (food was very good), and offered pickup and drop off from the local airport. It's a about a half mile to the center of Sitka which has the majority of the shopping and dining options. Overall we found the staff friendly and helpful and the pickup and drop off made Longliner Lodge a great choice for your visit to Sitka

The property manager, Ryan, was awesome. My group was in a tight spot and not even supposed to be in Sitka Alaska. He got us a great room, picked us up from the airport, gave us dinner recommendations and then dropped us off. The next day he took us to the Raptor center and picked us up. He then took us took to the boat terminal. He was very friendly and engaging.

We loved our view of the harbor from our room. It was interesting to watch the boats come and go. We were entertained and amused to watch the deck hands fillet fish efficiently and effortlessly at the end of each fishing day.

The building is nice, well kept, and clean. Right on the water with a dock. The ground floor was convenient, but it looked like some of the higher floors facing the water would've had a great view. But mostly, the staff was about the nicest and most helpful I've ever experienced at a hotel. I can't say enough good things about them.
