The cottage and surrounding area were absolutely amazing! Cottage was comfortable and clean, and communication between staff and myself was fast and clear. Only issue we had was I couldn’t figure out the heat. Thankfully it wasn’t too cold. The side door also had damage on the bottom and was open to outside elements but it didn’t cause any issues. Planes do fly low overhead but the noise didn’t bother me. Overall, I will definitely be booking again in the near future. Absolutely loved my stay!

This is a really good option if you want to be close to downtown. Lots of good restaurants, bars, museums, ect. to see in a walkable distance. Just make sure to bring earplugs because this property is directly under the flight path for planes landing at the airport, they pass over only a couple hundred feet overhead continuously all day but slack off at night. Overall I enjoyed it.

Great location, near downtown.but definitely not a quiet location. Right under flight path. After a while you get used to it.

The property offered a furnished kitchen that allowed me to cook my own food, which I liked. It also had a Roku, allowing me to access streaming content. It was quiet overall except it is in the flight path of the San Diego Airport and planes were taking off every 15 minutes. Bring some earplugs although it may not help a lot. They should also have their own parking lot given the street parking is limited.

The fenced yard was great for my dog. The noise from the airplanes flying overhead was annoying. The cottage is in the direct path for airplanes landing at the International airport. The noise continues well into the night/early morning.

The unit was clean, but not perfect. There was hair in the bathtub, and the old, unused air filter cover was dusty. The location is fine but for low-flying airplanes overhead periodically.

Plane watching at night.

Great location in walking distance to the park and the waterfront. The only annoying thing are the planes that fly very low over the area every few minutes.

Adorable property in a lovely neighborhood. I would for sure stay here again but be better prepared for being directly under the airports landing path.

The place was very outdated and felt like I was in a third world country. The stove works, but is very old, the cupboards were very old. The area surrounding is great, close to town, public transport was visible, parking was fairly easy to find. It is very close to the airport so you will hear planes passing all day and night. The sounds didn't bother me but it might be annoying to some. There was a mishap with the payment that left me very unhappy. The amount listed on hotels.com and the amount the property was asking of me,was different. They did adjust the amount when I pointed it out however. The property owner and workers were respectful.

The property was in a good location BUT it is extremely noisy because it’s on path of final descent into airport. It’s so loud you cannot hear tv when planes come over. All day and well into the night.

I tried to avoid leaving a bad review by contacting the property owners directly. No response. This is the first time I have ever left a bad review for a property but I truly would like to warn others before booking. First, the place is pretty run down. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain and was spitting up dirt. All of the seating was heavily stained. The lights in the kitchen didn't work. The listing said queen bed but it was a full. and the trash bins right outside the door reeked, like really really reeked. Also note, it is not a stand alone cottage, there are shared walls and they're very thin. Lastly, and this is an unavoidable annoyance but worth mentioning - the unit is directly under the landing path of an airport. Quite literally, every two minutes airplanes fly directly overheard - it is really really loud and with no AC you are either left sweating indoors with the windows closed attempting to muffle the sound - or getting some small relief with the windows open but then suffering the extremely loud planes overhead. This should really be mentioned in the listing. Our expectations were low upon booking - we just needed a place to crash for the night and weren't feeling picky but this was just too much, especially for the price.

We had 3 people and there were no sheets/blankets provided for the pullout. We called and never heard back. Had to go buy sheets. The bed is very rickety and the mattress is very uncomfortable. Directly under the airport flight path. Very loud and the planes landing fly close to cottages.

BEWARE! NO REFUNDS ISSUED NO MATTER WHAT! Never a fun way to start a review, and most definitely true in this case as well. Additionally, during our stay we noticed a myriad of issues listed at the end of this review. The experience we had was incredibly terrible. The property has SERIOUS damage in literally each room including holes in the wall (in every single room - most small, others not), water damage starting in the bathroom and spreading out into the kitchen and bedroom, and exposed copper wiring in the separate laundry room (note: not just exposed wires from a lack of internal walls, but that the connections for those wires have exposed copper in junction boxes). Trying to work with all involved proved fruitless. A good chunk of change for a four-night stay after taxes and fees gone. Note that this does not include the additional expenses we incurred by leaving that place after the first night (which was recommended to us) to stay in a different place. List of major concerns for reference: Extensive water damage to bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen Exposed copper wiring in laundry room Rusty laundry machines Urine-soaked laundry facilities Broken furniture (table and chair) Wi-Fi connection dependent on other units Different size TV (32", not 42") Different size bed (Full, not a queen) Pictures available on Google, as Expedia doesn't allow them in reviews
