I loved this place. Sure, it's outdated, and the pool area needs repair, but the beach makes up for it. I enjoyed the beach and the lawn area with chairs. However, I wish they had fixed the beach entry stairs because it was difficult to get back up to the lawn area. Our unit was fairly small, especially the kitchen and bathrooms, but I liked it. I didn't like that you had to go down steps and then back up steps to get to the first floor. Overall, it may not be the latest and prettiest, but it has a great view of the ocean and good beach access. Although the beach had a barrier of rocks and tide pools, this hotel had a path into the sandy section of the beach.

We just got back from a week-long stay at unit 120. The only reason we stayed here was because we were traveling with 2 other couples who were staying there. This property is outdated. We knew this well in advance. Our unit was on the ground floor, and during our stay two times, we discovered large dead cockroaches on the floor. Yuck! We have stayed at other Maui properties and have never experienced this issue. There is no ac in the unit. Each room has a fan, but we had to keep the bedroom window open at night and could hear every sound in the adjacent parking lot. The screen doors leading to the patio should be replaced because they don't stay on the track and are unlocked. We only used the frig, so I can't comment on the other appliances in the kitchen. There is no beach, just a grassy area. The pool is small and quite cold last week. Nice balcony by the pool. We won't be staying at this hotel again. There is a laundry facility and an app to charge washing fees, but the wifi in the laundry room is terrible. They need to install a router in the laundry room.

We were 3 couples in 3 rooms with gardens. One couple's room was very shabby, ours was good and the third was good. The couple with the shabby room upgraded to ocean view for only $40 night$ 200 instead of $ 160. If you aren't trying to save money it's a big deal. The room and view of their new unit were much better. But this is a condo unit and each location is distinct from the other. The management staff were very nice and took care of some minor problems but had no control over the state of the rooms. I don't know if the other ocean view rooms are as good as our friends got.

It was too noisy at night/early morning. Garbage truck every morning at 7 am. Could hear neighbors argue. People yelling down the hallway. Oven took forever to heat up. No Teflon pans so every thing stuck. That being said we will go back to Paki Maui just not this unit.
