Only downside is the room has an open plan with the shower being visible to everyone in the room. Not good if you are rooming with someone other than spouse or with children. No privacy.

Rooms were immaculate. Staff was very helpful when needed. Family-friendly because of the goodies in the check-in office. There is no spa.

Everything was great!! The only thing was that rooms have an open shower, meaning there's no door to seperate the shower from the bedroom. You will shower on the open. I was with my daughter and had to switch rooms to another room that allowed privacy while showering. Other than that staff was great and nice, room was very clean and area was great given than IHOP was at walking distance.

Stayed overnight. Check in and out was a quick easy process. They accommodated my request for a first floor room. Property was well maintained. The room was clean and nice. The only odd thing is that there was a bulletproof glass at the front desk.

This was a great little hotel. Seemed like it was still new and just opened, everything was clean and maintained. No elevator FYI, stairs only at each end of the building. Continental breakfast option was a make your own waffle and cereal with milk additions to the regularly stocked coffee machine, juice machine, bottled water, fruit and granola bar selection that is always available in the front lobby. Staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous. I asked for a DND sign after our first night and they gave me one, but asked if we needed anything for

It’s a motel so take it for what it’s worth. You’re getting what you pay for I guess? It’s a new property so it’s clean and our room was cleaned daily. The bad is mostly and sleep and shower. The beds are stiff and low quality. You get essentially two sheets to sleep with(no comforter or heavier blanket). The shower was the poor highlight of our stay. It’s nice looking but the water pressure is abysmal. Which is surprising since the property is so new. Also, I took 2 cold showers and finally asked the front desk what was up with that and was told you need to run it for about 10-15 min for hot water(crazy). This motel has high ratings but it’s completely misleading if you’re someone looking for a standard bed and shower experience in my opinion. Spend an extra $30-$50 a night at a holiday inn or Marriott next door for a better experience.

Not clean floor. I saw hair on bathroom floor. Another issue was it is right next to highway so you hear all noises of cars, ambulance. So if you are sensitive sleeper, I don't recommend it.

Choosing to stay at the Palace Inn was the worst decision I’ve ever made. I fell for the reviews claiming it was newly renovated, clean, and modern, so I booked a 4-night stay. Every single day turned out to be an absolute nightmare. 1. Disgusting Cleanliness and Poor Amenities: The moment my daughter and I opened the door, we were greeted by a massive dead bug right under the table. It was so glaringly obvious that there is no way the housekeeping staff missed it. The amenities were laughably bad. The shampoo they provide is incredibly cheap and left my hair feeling awful, and they don't even offer conditioner. The bath towels were thin, tiny, and some even had visible, unwashed stains on them. 2. Terrible Sleeping Conditions: The bedding setup is a joke. There was no duvet or proper comforter—just a single flat sheet and an extremely thin cover. Houston's weather is notoriously hot and humid, requiring the AC to be turned up high to keep the room dry. Without a proper blanket, the room became freezing cold, making it impossible to get a comfortable night's sleep. 3. Safety Concerns/Loud Disturbances (The Breaking Point): We arrived on Thursday, and because the inn was quiet and we were exhausted from our flight, we managed to sleep through the night. However, Friday and Saturday nights were terrifying. Between midnight and 2:00 AM on both nights, there was loud, aggressive shouting right outside our door. People were screaming profanities and throwing "F-bombs" constantly.
