I think for the money and the proximity to downtown it's hard to beat the value, that being said there's a few things to consider when staying there. Our room was right next to the dining room/kitchen so there was definitely some noise bleed. Additionally, I found the beds in the Avanti room to be quite uncomfortable. They seemed to be older spring mattresses, and I do think the stay would be much improved with newer, more comfortable mattresses. We also had issues with the ac which made our first night uncomfortably warm, but the host was extremely responsive and fixed the issue the next day. Overall, nice stay at the Avanti House.

Our four night stay at the Avanti House in the Kellogg Room (room#7) was amazing, they had everything we could need including private bath, common rooms, and kitchen with toaster oven/microwave, and everything you need for coffee/tea and snacks

Avanti Guest House is just plain fun especially if you want to learn a little about the history of the Studebaker Avanti line of automobiles. Rooms all include a small refrigerator, a sink and toilet with a shared shower and bathroom down the hall. Rooms 6, 9 and 10 are closest to it. Because the house is quite old there are plenty of creaky wooden floors and stairs. Kitchen had filtered water, coffee pot and supplies, tea pot, dishes cups glasses and silverware. Clean up after yourself!

Clean rooms and well maintained. Can find parking on the street or on the nearby lot. The house showcases a collection of model cars, vintage collectables and many more interesting posters and magazines related to the Studebaker and Vivanti automobiles. And the houses are right next to the Studebaker Historic Museum.

The house was quite large and easy to maneuver. No stove but there is a hot plate, microwave, and toaster oven in the kitchen. Not a lot of cookware, bowls, etc. but enough to make due. I like to cook so that was a little disappointing but like I said, it was sufficient to make due. It would be nice if there were a recliner and couch in the living room area to make it more comfy. There is a small love seat and chair. Not a place to sit back and watch tv. My room was lovely. Nice comfy bed and a desk for working at. The full bath was adequate. Really cool stuff around the house if you like the Avanti history. Very clean and owner was very responsive to any requests made. I would definitely plan to stay again. I felt safe during my stay as a single lady.

This home was built in 1890 so it doesn't have a lot of modern amenities, but once you understand you are essentially staying within a "museum" you can only enjoy the ambiance, artwork, furniture, items and artifacts virtually everywhere. And the owner, Don, has a pristine Avanti car in his garage that he is very proud of and willing to show you! I would most definitely return!
