I couldn't be more pleased with our stay at the GCHQ Casita. It is so cute and cozy, and it had everything we needed. Shopping and dining are close by, and the Grand Canyon is a short ride. Our hostess Mary was very helpful with all our questions. We look forward to coming back soon.

This casita was the perfect getaway for my first solo trip to the Grand Canyon. The hosts were very communicative and the casita was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the town. I thoroughly enjoyed the sunset views from the patio and bedroom view.

You definitely need a car with high clearance and all or 4WD. The roads are rough, so plan to take it slow. High Grove Road is worse than a washboard. I actually prefer the dips and ruts of the other roads, lol. Space is great. Quite, lots of stars. Ended up being there in a snow storm and it was the perfect excuse to curl up on the couch, with the wood stove blazing and a book. Exactly what I wanted. Wished I had had longer to stay there.

Absolutely loved this spot! I loved it so much I kind of want it to remain more of a secret! It is a glamping/luxury eco friendly experience off the beaten path and so gorgeous with 360 panoramic views! Would absolutely book again.

Room and area were very nice, sunsets fantastic. Could read a book super relaxed during the day and go for a run early in the morning when the temperatures were still pleasantly cool. Grand Canyon South Rim nearby. Be sure to stop by the nearby Rocks-and-more shop.

I was nervous to book here because there weren’t a lot of reviews but I truly now consider this a hidden gem. I wanted to hike the grand canyon but all the hotels in and around there were either too expensive or appeared outdated. I’m so grad I booked here. It’s a 45 min drive from the south rim. The property is beautiful and isolated. It’s well kept. I killed a few moths but was honestly surprised how minimal bugs there were. The inside is just as advertised. As for temperature it was easy to adjust the AC and the water did get hot which I was concerned about. Overall I have no complaints. Excellent experience. It isn’t a scam! Just a beautiful, underrated site.

Off the grid experience, 4x4 recommended, short walk from lot to building. What I loved... Fit and finish are nice and high quality. Bed and bedding exceptional. Sunset and stars amazing. Worth the stay.

This property requires a 4x4 vehicle to access. The fireplace and free wood were great. Plan on minimalist meals, as there is very little space to store and cook food. Very unique experience and very quiet. We liked our stay.

These remote "cabins" are luxurious, modern, quiet and relaxing. Very cool and off-grid done with great luxury! Would have been a 5 of 5 except: at no point during the non-refundable reservation process was I informed the suites were off-grid, low water usage, 4WD-only accessible. For me, it was a blissful stay, for my wife, not so much. It's a wonderful retreat, but we were a little overwhelmed with the "managing expectations" letter received after paying the non-refundable room fee.

The stay was very nice. It wasn't quite clear how long of a walk (with luggage) it would be from the parking to the casita but other than that we had a lovely stay

Follow the advice of the owners and travel during the daylight to get here. The roads are all dirt, gravel, and very bumpy. You have to have AWD, be prepared to drive slow, and keep your tires in the right location in the tracks. Once you eventually get there, it is a beautiful setting and the room was very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed waking up to the peace and quiet of the desert. The amenities inside were wonderful! Appreciated the water in the fridge and all the small touches. Would definitely recommend the stay! The journey there is the only challenge, but it’s worth it.

View was pretty. Cabin was clean, it was a bit small. The 3 mile trek back to it from the main road is very rough. Due to the use of solar, there is no tv, no microwave, no coffee maker, you are asked not to use hair dryers and straighteners. Not a fan of the bathroom “door”. The fan in the bedroom had no way of being turned on. The commons building was said to have cold beverages and coffee and snacks. Only found coffee for you to make in that building.
