We arrived a bit early for normal checkin and were told are room was ready.. a Very pleasant surprise after a long warm drive Checkin was quick and directions to the room as well as all the different restaurants stores were given Our room was clean and we were within a very short walking distance to the pool and restaurants We were there for two night and on the first night my husband had a bit of a medical accident that we were able to handle on our own In checking out today I mentioned it to DORIANA And what Gem she is💕 She immediately took it upon herself to give us a discount on our stay Completely unexpected !!!! The only reason I mentioned it was so the problem could be fixed and not cause anyone else harm The kindness DORIANA showed to us today will not be forgotten💕 Thank you so very much!!!

There are limited options of places to stay in the Death Valley area so finding the Ranch at Death Valley was definitely the best option! It had everything we needed - a nice comfortable room (we stayed in the cottages), breakfast for a fee in the morning, or pastries and coffee, a small store with drink and snack options and two fun stores to buy souvenirs. There was also an ice cream shop that we didn't get to try. The property was beautiful and the old west theme was carried throughout. We enjoyed our 4 night stay here and would recommend anyone staying in the area to stay here too!

The staff was somewhat knowledgeable and the room (cottage) was clean. When the staff couldn't answer questions about surrounding area they directed us to the visitor center which was just down the road. The entire property was lovely and if I were to criticize anything it would be the food. We went to the breakfast buffet and although it looked okay, the food was totally cold and there isn't anything much worse than totally cold eggs! Additionally, in the middle of a breakfast service they were totally out of coffee and we had to wait for new containers to come out from the back area. Needless to say, the next morning we had breakfast up at the Inn and not at the Ranch area and the food was great and at pretty much the same price. Other than that we had a wonderful time and would go back again.

We stayed in the older rooms in the back of the property. It was fine. Nothing special about the room. Several restaurants, weird hours sometimes closed. Nice gift shop, it’s also a grocery store/mini-mart.

The property as a hole was magnificent. The front desk staff could have been more helpful with explaining where things were and why the pool was drained of water one day when I asked they were unaware the pool didnt have water in it. Other than that little minor difficulty in getting info this property is excellent

Had a wonderful 2-night (Fri & Sat) stay in a standard room near the pool. The grounds are beautiful and a perfect location to access many of the sights within the park. We had two delicious dinners at the Last Kind Words Saloon that is decorated in fun, old-time western decor and has a large bar w/TVs. We enjoyed a buffet breakfast in the adjacent 1849 Buffet that had a nice selection of food to choose from. We also had lunch and scoops of ice cream for dessert at another restaurant on site (can’t recall the name). There is also a nice gift shop. Our evenings were spent relaxing on the long porches, with misters, overlooking the grounds. It was our first time staying here and plan to be back again (this time in one of the cottages) on our next trip to the park.
