We enjoyed the location of where it was at and we liked the old school style of the condo.

The location and just the fact that you are basically in a hope made it ideal for a family vacation. We are already planning our return next summer (and want to stay in VDI).

This was a beautiful condo! The condo itself was immaculate, everything was there that we needed. The area was quiet, and very friendly. The grounds are well taken care of. LOVED the Jacuzzi and pool, as well as access to the BBQ on the pool deck. The location of the condo was great, we were within walking distance of Mammoth Village and could take the shuttle to the main lodge (free of charge) to ride the gondola or take the other shuttle to the Red's Meadow area. The stay was amazing! Would definitely stay there again :)

The reservation office was very helpful and easy to work with. The property manager, Andrew, was overly helpful and friendly... Especially when it came to clearing snow.

It has 3 rooms, 2 with a queen bed and another with a bunk bed that's great for 1 kid on top and 2 on bottom. The living room also has a sofa bed. It's next to a big shopping mall with restaurants, bars and shops, so you have options to dine just by walking through a nice bridge. It was clean and well preserved, we did not experience noise from outside. We did not know thtat 2 rooms are below, so you have to go down a staircase that was somewhat tilted. After a big hike it was a challenge to go up and down those stairs.

Great place to stay, my 2nd time there. The jacuzzi is lukewarm and is only on after 4 pm. The manager told us the jacuzzi brok on our last night there, pretty disappointed. Coffee maker did't work either. Other than those little hickups, I would highly recommend staying here for a great Mammoth experience. Right on the ski-back trail and next to the village.

I booked the condo through Expedia but it had to go through a local reservation bureau in order to finalize the reservation. A few days before the trip I called the reservation bureau to ask for check-in instructions and was told that my reservation was cancelled. I was pretty mortified since our family was all ready to go. It turned out that since I made date changes to my original reservation, there was a mishap. Regardless, the reservation bureau fixed the problem and put us in a condo in the Fireside at the Village community. The condo is walking distance from the village and we stayed in #311. Check-in was a breeze and we really liked the condo. We had six adults and 4 children with us and had plenty of room. The reservation came with 2 parking spaces but the local property manager did not hesitate when we asked if we could have one more spot because we came in 3 cars. Our stay was very pleasant and we had a fun time visiting the nearby lakes and the typical tourist areas. Even though there was the mishap with our reservation, I was pleased with the way things were sorted out and would definitely visit again.

The condo smelled like cigarette smoke despite being nonsmoking supposedly. It was awkward because the condo was full of personal family photos and items. It did not feel or look very clean. It had a lot of space but it did not match the standards I expect. I do not plan to book through this place again and will be very careful to make sure any place I book is AAA approved.

Not a bad place. Good value for its proximity to the village.

Nice place to stay. The unit needs some TLC though. Most of the outlets did not work. The bedding and towels were old, but clean. The staff was very responsive when we had trouble with the dvd player and wifi. Great location!
