I didn't see the owner-managers once. I called to complain about the lack of cooking and received an answerphone. I requested they call me back but received no response. I eventually got a response by bookings messenger system 1 minute after check-in. A little chicken if you ask me. We never saw anyone in charge while there. There are many advantages to not having clean bedding. The new carpet appeared to have been laid recently, and the room was warm because of the electric radiator. I was able to use my shower, which worked perfectly and was warm. I didn't have to line up to use the shower or the toilet. I can't cook, but Andi across the street has provisions, but I can't cook. The negative aspects are that there are signs everywhere in the kitchen stating that cooking is not permitted? To me, being able to cook your own food in order to lower costs is a big component of staying in a hostel. There was only a microwave, a kettle, and toasters that were readily available. The fridge smelled quite pungent. The house is extremely dilapidated. The huge bathroom's shower my daughter used drew the entire bathroom floor. My shower was adequate. The room was satisfactory. Positive aspects despite the fact that the hostel is far from the city center, communication was simple. There is a large supermarket in front of the hostel. Negative aspects 1. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, electric cooker, and dish washer, but they are just a decoration and guests are not permitted to use them. 2 as in December, the place was extremely cold. The heating only worked for a few hours during the day, and the staff removed it on purpose to reduce the cost. We ended up wearing winter jackets inside and sleeping in woolen sweaters. There was limited hot water, which was probably due to the staff's control of the heating. There were three bathrooms, but the water temperature was really difficult to regulate. Worst of all, two friends out of the eight people traveling in total, who stayed for a few hours longer than the others, were suddenly forced to pay an additional 80 pounds for a spot fully washable discovered on one of the bed linens by the service guy. After some argument, the guy went down to 40 pounds, and since he refused to let them out, they had to pay this extra amount without justification.
