One of the few locations accessible was Chateau Bass, which was one of the few spots for my wife and me on all grand final fridays. The quad room and amenities were wonderful, more like a hotel with three rooms. It had a common lounge and dining area with complimentary tea and coffee, biscuits, fruit, and a continental breakfast. It included a shared kitchen and dining area with free tea and coffee, a small garden, a fridge, and a minibar, and the rooms were very clean, roomy, and well-appointed. There is a tiny garden, a private bathroom with shampoo and other supplies, a tiny garden, and a tea and coffee maker. The bed was extremely comfortable, and it is extremely peaceful and quiet without the toad chirping. Although it is accessible and most effective in the common areas, we didn't use the wifi in the bedroom. There were a few minor items that required attention curtains and cable exposure, but they were minor and in no way diminished by our visit. The resident proprietor in a neighboring but distinct structure was extremely friendly and helpful, showing us where everything was before leaving us with the keys. There are two entrances, one through the communal lounge area and front door, and one through the private garden area and parking lot. We stayed for the night with my sister. The room was great, it was clean with all the necessary facilities. The owner was so nice and helpful, we should give this hotel a 10 out of 10 rating. Will be back.

This hotel is close to San Mateo eat in the city. The staff is really kind, and will help you when you need anything. They offer breakfast but the parking area is a snag. Plus, the beds here are comfy and the shower is very good.

This is a good choice if you are looking to stay near Phlip Island but not on it. The manager is very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they were happy to accommodate. Breakfast was a help yourself affair with a small selection of simple cereals, yoghurt, carton juice, and bread which was fine because both liked toast.
