We stayed for 2 nights. Room was good with comfortable beds and pillows. The owner Gil was very friendly and you were made to feel like the zoo was yours. You could go into the zoo whenever you wanted, even at night which was an eerie experience and was well worth doing. Breakfast was continental with various fresh breads and spreads, cereal, fresh mango juice, tea and coffee. This was included in the price. This hotel is great for people who like animals and want a different hotel experience. If ever back in the Daintree I would definitely stay there again.

We wanted to stay in the Rainforest, but not be completely isolated, and this location was perfect for day-tripping to Mossman Gorge, Cape Trib and other points of interest PLUS the access to the on-site, well maintained zoo was amazing! Our zoo-facing Cockatoo room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The owners, Gil and Donna, treated us like friends and made our stay so enjoyable.

+ : calme, spacieux, accès au zoo - : difficile à trouver (la rue possède 2 noms différents, ce qui perturbe les gps)

We spent two nights here during out visit to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely couple who own the B&B, and were excited to be staying a zoo! As guests, we had unlimited entry to the zoo for a small fee of $16. The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. It had a welcoming and homely feel, this was especially great as we were travelling with our 5 month old baby. The accommodation is in great location - central to Mossman, Daintree and Cape Tribulation. We will definitely stay here again!

Staying in this B&B was a unique experience, as the hotel is also a zoo. We were able to get close to lots of indigenous animals; kangaroos, crocodiles, emus, and wide variety of tropical birds. The included breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, and there were a great many activities a short drive away. A few things to note however; Optus and Vodofone phones had no service in this location. Also, booking for three nights got us a free crocodile tour with local operators. The wifi was fast, but the service did have a few hours of interruption during our three day stay. We also did not, in fact sleep with the kangaroos. Unfortunately. Overall, if you are interested in something different, definitely a great place to stay.

The rooms with en suite bathrooms are very comfortable and open onto a balcony that overlooks the zoo. It very pleasant waking to the sound of kookaburras each morning!

Such a beautiful genuine couple. Free upgrade to ensuite room. Inside a zoo . Inside a zoo. Amazing majestic place. They even served dins aswell. BBQ steak,Sausages, salads way better than the expensive restaurant food the night before. Only $20bucks, they do laundry , everything, nothing to great or small. Definitely recommend.

Loved it! Although quite expensive we are very happy we chose to stay here. We were the only guests and could wander around the zoo whenever we wanted (even at night) room was clean and comfy, breakfast was simple but enough. Recommend

Please stay here or at least make a pit stop. My friend and I went on a trip to Australia, no boys allowed. We had a wonderful surprise when we got to the B&B. We didn't realize it was attached to a zoo. We stayed 2 nights but wished we stayed and extra. Gill, the property owner, zoo keeper and B&B host is a very nice, gruff bushman. He was very helpful in giving us suggestions on what we could do in the area since we did not plan anything before hand. He was great to talk to in the morning as he prepared our spread of breakfast: cereal, milk, toast, exotic homemade jams, yoghurt...a hot breakfast will cost. There is a small town with a gas station and grocery store only 20 min away. Make note you are in the jungle and pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There are spiders, toads and a lot of noises at night. Also you can walk around with the kangaroos and wallabys. As animal people, we loved it!!!

From the outside it looks deceptively ordinary but once you enter your room you'll be pleasantly surprised with the refreshingly eclectic decor and level of quality of furnishings. The most comfortable motel bed I've slept in for a while. Perfect for the adults whilst the kids swim in the pool out the back door with roos and wallabies hopping about behind the fence. Backing onto this adorable zoo which I'd recommend over Cairns zoo. Lovely, hands on owner, friendly staff and welcoming cockatoo committee.

The rooms are Big and very clean. The hall is amazing. The animals in the little zoo are well looked after. The kangaroos and wallebies in the garden are gentle. We liked the place very much.

Gil and Donna are genuine, honest, warm and comical hosts. We recently visited off peak, which led to a complimentary upgrade. Upon our welcome my girlfriend was given the opportunity to feed Alice, the 3 month old kangaroo. Everyone in the Zoo made us feel welcome. The room was spacious, very clean and decorated tastefully. You are in the middle of the rainforest, so amenities are not on your doorstep. Overall top marks!

We absolutely loved our stay here - we only stayed one night but could easily have stayed longer. It really is a fantastic and unique place and we would highly recommend this to everyone. It would also be a great place to stay with children as being in the zoo would keep them well occupied day and night and the animals are all very tame and friendly. We stayed in one of the newer rooms (the Aviary rooms) and they were better than the five star resort we had stayed in the night before for double the price in Cairns. The rooms down by the pool looked a bit more basic but good for those on a budget. Gil and Michael and Mareena were so friendly and really made us feel at home - we even got to see the baby Dingos being hand fed. It had a very personal feel and the dinner and breakfast were great too. Can't say enough good things about this place - we are so glad we stumbled across it and we will be back!!
